I did not get notified but you are right, there is acrobat and reader updates Flash updates are still outstanding
-
I believe hes speaking of this Adobe Releases Security Updates that came out on the 10th of January. Solarwinds has been incredibly slow getting adobe updates out recently so we need to poke them
-
I dont think many people use the Orion stuff with patch manager as its nearly useless for PM and questions about it rarely come up. Im sure that data is in the PM Orion DB though. Good luck

You can try to reset the WUA in patch manager go to a PC that is having problems and either on the right pane go to windows update agent maintenance and repair or in computer explorer go to the same thing and select delete catroot and catroot2 directories, reset authorization, reset windows update agent sus id, and delete…

I know this isnt really helpful but its strange that both worked fine for me. I edited the package to include the java 8u101 i downloaded, published, and it installed fine on hundreds of PCs in several states. Chrome worked right out of the box.

Excellent thank you very much for that info. The Openmanage agent is required for the command tool as well so that makes a lot of sense.
-
Ive tried it on and off for years and its never worked so I have given up on it. If you really want to push bios updates use the dell Command - Configure tool. Its not the best but I guess thats dell's solution. If you do get it working through patch manager please let us know what you did

I cleared the cache and tried again and got the same thing in Chrome The circle just spins. I only left it for 1 minute. My version of Chrome is Google Chrome is up to date Version 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Hey Jaime the 2.1.6 download is 1.67 GB but the display shows 1.27 GB Also, im sure you know but its still unable to be downloaded via Chrome, it just spins when you select finish download. It does download fine with IE. Also the default download when going to the portal is still 2.1.5. You need to expand all downloads to…

All 3 versions did not work for me and I had strange detection problems with 8u141. I ended up using PDQ deploy instead for 8u144 which worked fine
-
They have not kept up with updating this post but here is the reader (and acrobat) updates that I have just for the month of January this year that are in patch manager.
-
Just to check our configs are the same, I have VLC checked under the Solarwinds Update (Nofitications Only) Catalog I have nothing checked under the Solarwinds Update Catalog
-
2.2.4 has been out since June
-
I have been hearing from a patch management mailing list that people are waiting weeks due to the huge volume of requests. They do get back to you, it just takes time.
-
Is it not this one from 10/1 you are looking for?
-
You can get Chrome from the link that a user provided in this thread below. I hope that solarwinds will put out a revised update with the correct download today though. This is a pretty basic thing for solarwinds to screw up on but historically its fixed quickly. Google Chrome 54.0.2840.59 Business Enterprise MSI (Upgrade)…

Im not even going to look at third party updates until the new guys get their act together. After seeing whats coming out in the last week or so its just a mess and ill wait until they know what they are doing, or patch stuff with another tool like PDQ for a bit.
-
What the heck is going on over there?
-
ding The packages are coming in with different naming conventions as they used to and d/l locations are failing on some. If the new team could please use the way its always been done and leave off the "copy of" so I know whats from solarwinds and what I have created please?
-
7-Zip was provided at one point like unofficially. I basically copied the package and inserted the newer version and it works great to update 7zip. Re: 7zip third party catalog Lawrence Garvin Nov 6, 2013 7:39 PM (in response to jbaits) Just to clarify, in November, 2012, we researched the possibility of including 7-Zip in…

You can request stuff added here https://thwack.solarwinds.com/community/application-and-server_tht/patch-manager/patch-manger-feature-requests
-
Thank you much. I could see how people would confuse that and check all boxes but looking at it now thats a pretty good way to organize it and know what you are removing.
-
Not sure why you would do this every time and not automate it with group policy but yes that will work to patch a target group and hopefully will be helpful to people. Thanks for the share
-
Is patch to completion still in the roadmap? Also can PM either have full functionality in Orion or just leave it alone? Please dont waste resources for PM dev on orion
-
I heard through the grapevine that a new version may be coming out in late fall, which i hope because its been 2 years since any update Heres the group for PM beta Patch Manager Beta
-
Just make a target group and only approve updates for the group you want. I have multiple target groups I stage updates out to. A test group, servers that get download after approval but install only on the maintenance window (which is an AU setting via gpo), an offsite location that cant get update traffic during the day…

If you just want to keep your reports and such the best way is to export them and then just import them into the new PM instance. Ive done it twice and it works great. You can also detach the SUSDB from the old SQL server and move it to the new server. I have not tried moving the patch manager or orion SQL DB though.
-
Is it a trial of patch manager? Have you properly created and distributed a self signed certificate?
-
Its pretty straightforward to do and should be no problem going up to 2012 r2. When you install SPM you just input the SQL server info and it links back up with your old data. Downstream servers can be older but cannot be newer so you will be fine there as well. Just a tip though if you are migrating to a new SQL server…

Do you have discovery tasks set up? PCs get added automatically to managed computers when they are detected on the LAN during discovery. Managed computers is not a section that gets worked in much, at least not in my 3 years of working with solarwinds PM. The only time i ever go to it is to delete PCs that I no longer have…
