Darn... I was hoping it would have been fixed. Thanks!

Thanks for your response! We're mainly doing it because we don't have too much experince with 64bit and we need some servers to test with. Since our Orion install is fairly new and supports 64bit we thought it might be a good fit.

Well... I got a little impatient and since I didn't see a way to do it through the web interface I decided to take a look at the code... Here's what I did. I took the resource that does the Current Percent Utilization and the resource that does the charting and combined them together. I added a little to code to check if…

Will the SEUM be able to do outside-in type of monitoring? Yes, but you will need to install the player at an external location. While testing, I actually used a couple of Amazon EC2 instances to run the player. I had one in Virginia and another in Tokyo (Amazon has 5 different regions you can choose from: Virginia,…

I already poll the devices for certain data and the vendor information is included. The problem I'm running into is with the information from the traps (which I can't test unless I touch the device.) The data the ups is returning looks like its in a non-vendor specific mib so I'm assuming its already loaded. I'm also…

The problem is that the monitor the want it on rotates maps every 30 seconds and has no user input. They want a quick check so they can look up and check the status of the APs.

Did this ever make this into the product?
-
Do you get traffic statistics? I don't know if Cisco publishes them but I was curious to see how busy some of our stacks were.
-
Do you know if there is anyway to monitor the stackports for usage? I've done some research and I can't find anything.
-
Thanks Jiri! That was the case! Someone had been messing with the template on 3 of the servers.
-
I just did a search and couldn't find anything. It's strange because it happened to 3 of the 8-9 that are configured.
-
I've seen the same thing. I checked a bunch of ports and submitted and only about half came back as unplugged. I initiated a poll and waited to make sure I wasn't rushing it but it still didn't go.

Thank you! - I forgot to use the search button... /slaps head

Would I have to customize the view for each interface for each node or would it be automatic when I add the resource?
-
Hi Hitesh, I created a Custom Table object and was able to filter it down to the type of nodes I wanted to see. I added Node Name and Event Time. Event time gave me when the down happened. I had it filtered to only show nodes that were down. We also added a notes custom property so that someone could put a quick note in so…

I installed it yesterday and haven't seen any problems. There were a few people who had problems with the installer running due to files being in use but it seemed easy enough to get around. Some of the little tweaks have been helpful.

Great, that's what I'll do! Thanks!
-
I'd love to vote for this request! :)
-
Just curious, does that mean 9.x or SPx?
-
Thanks! When I get some time, I'll open a ticket.
-
Thanks for the update! Will the fix be in something like a Service Pack when its fixed?
-
I kind of figured something like this was the cause. It's not a huge deal if it doesn't make it back in. I'll just break out my config backups into smaller groups.
-
Is there anyway to set "unknown" as down? I'd like to have the link show down if the device is down.
-
I'm not sure if this is part of it or not, but the date format looks correct in report writer (August 24 2009) vs the web console. (8/24/2009.)

Was there ever a resolution to this problem? We just ran into the same thing today. Also, it seems like our Orion Webserver is locking the account of the person trying to login.
-
We do the same thing. It seems the more devices you have the longer it takes the service to stop. (I've never actually waited for it to stop! )
-
I went ahead and added then removed a custom property and I can see the properties now. That was strange! Thanks for your help!

Does this still return the response time of the request? We have a couple pages that we want to monitor for two things. 1. Reponse Time 2. Static data on the page The page returns something like: Records 32235 Thanks!

The result on the router is the same, just one hop.

Where isn't it working? I have that same thing setup and we're not seeing those lines show up for changes.
