  • Anyway to setup this script to search for specific interface speeds? I would like to see all interface circuits that are 56 Kbps, or all 1.544 Mbps.
  • quote:Originally posted by Network_Guru I have opted to leave the old interface in the database, and just live with the unknown interface '?' until the end of the year. I am doing the same thing. We will leave the interface until we feel we have significant reporting on the new interface, probably around 6 months worth,…
  • Are these devices routers? Have you changed the interface names on any of them? We recently had to change the interface names on 45 of our Routers because we moved them to ATM. Orion changed the index number of the interface from 2 to 0 and picked up the renamed interface index number of 2. Thus it stopped polling the…
  • quote:Originally posted by Network_Guru General rule of thumb, if it's not broke, don't upgrade. I'm still running 7.2.2 (even though 7.3 has improved polling engine). 7.2.2 works OK for us, so I'm waiting for V8 :-D -=Cheers=- NG NG - I need a V8 also.. LOL Sorry, ok... we are running 7.4 and with no problems. We upgraded…
  • Alex, you crack me up. LOL.
  • I just tried this and it worked fine. 1. I renamed the "01-AdvancedNodeDetails.Resource" to "01-AdvancedNodeDetails_ADOT.Resource" 2. I added the following: <tr> <td class="Property" width="10"> </td> <td class="PropertyHeader">Ping</td> <td class="Property"> </td> <td class="Property"><a…
  • kempj18 - What about using an external UNIX box to call ping? I've setup a unix script that I call from a web page and users receive ping replies on their browser page. I'm thinking I could modify the HTML in the 01-AdvancedNodeDetails.Resource file to make the call to the ping script. Here's the script I've placed in the…
  • It would be great if Orion ran on UNIX, we would prefer Solaris, but would be happy with Linux (SuSE or Red Hat).

  • 1. Custom MIBS 2. Single bandwidth report with all nodes
  • Mucho, Mucho thanks for the help. I've already been able to create some customized reports for our group (bandwidth utilization for all 56k circuits, all T1's and such). I've seen where Ian created a customized view using VB Scripting, so now I need to start doing some poking around to see how this is done. Thanks again.
  • Orion does see our ATM interfaces and polls data from it, but it doesn't see the individual VCI stats. Are you saying that you are getting stats on all of your VCI's? We have this same problem with our Frame Relay. Orion can see the interface that the frame is connected to and provides stats, it also see's all of our…
  • Using the Report Writer, here's what I came up with. Hope it will work for you: Select Fields: x Select the following fields: x Field: Node ID Sort: * function: * x Field: Node Name Sort: * function: * x Field: Location Sort: * function: * x Field: Event Type Sort: * function: COUNT Filter Results: x Select records where…

  • DOHH! I was looking under the "Time Frame" tab. Yes, you are so right my son... it is there. Thanks much!
