I just did this again. I am losing my touch. basically when im managing a node some time select the node it self then expand the node then find the interface i want to delete and then click on delete. then bam the node is deleted to because i dont uncheck the node. its mainly that valuable data/stats are lost. as well as…

Yeah i had to delete/disable multicast routing as well. would be nice as i hit this same type of issue when hardware health monitoring came out.
-
maybe two confirmations with a list of whats about to be deleted highlighting nodes. But I think the best thing over all would be a undelete option up untill the nightly db maintenace runs..
-
I would love this too. We use search for wireless clients widget and would love the same for UDT if not combined.

Thank you ET, For my problem with Cisco 3560G and SNMP causing CPU to stay around 100% was resolved by unchecking l2 and l3 topology polling under "List Resources" as a fix untill I can upgrade the IOS. It would still be nice to have a "recycle bin" or a way to keep stats for a device if you have to delete and re add a…

I am on 10.2.2 and I have the same problem. After upgrading to 10.2.2 two of our Cisco 3560G switches started to consume 100% cpu on SNMP ENGINE I needed to put them to ICMP only so i dont lose the stats untill an ios upgrade occured as i ASSUME it is a bug. Please advise if there is a way to switch to ICMP only while…

I was able to get this working with Support staff... There are a few things we did.. and i do not know which one fixed it yet but things to try.... on the NPM server we made sure that anonymous authentication in IIS for the site was enable as well as windows auth. I guess the server locally uses IE to run the reports to…

I am on NPM 11.5.2 and i have the same problem.. i am also using windows authentication. i set scheduler and then test using run now and it does not work. i get the report pdf with the login screen with cookies to login.

I had to upgrade to 10.2.2 from 10.1.3 to fix a polling collection issue. You may want to look into upgrading. I also had in the past interfaces/nodes that would show up unknown. I had to open a support case and upload the diagnostics but it ended up being a dhcp computers that we were monitoring via icmp only that was…

http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-167487 This one has the two pollers i use plus plenty more Though i think i added them individually as the enumeration mapping is updated in 10.4.2 which is what i am running OID="1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.5.3.2.1.11" OID="1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.5.5.2.1.2" Then i made an alert based on custom…

So when adding a new node this is bad but I am bringing up that this is happening when listing resources of a node already monitored. And it adding all interfaces even down interfaces.
-
Wow thats not good. Im going to disable health monitoring on all my 4507 and 6k

So there is no way to set a ip to static/reserved and keep it that way? we used the Solarwinds tool set IP manager this way to keep track of our static IP's we keep the first 100 addresses of each /24 reserved for static ip addresses. we need subnets to be scanned and updated but static ip's to stay static as some devices…

I am using IE 8 only. The fix above from microsoft does prevent the "Stop Running this script" but the page reacts different than previous versions. For example the page gets stuck at Wait and is not spinning. and the Interfaces Discovered does not increment. If you have a lot of interfaces you may thing the page is frozen…

-
I am at 10.2.2 and i have the same problem but seem only when listing resources on Chassis based devices with more than 48 ports.

Please . pretty please with sugar on top?

I have a ticket open with support as it looks to be related to netpath... so far it seems that netpath when a path is being checked is broadcasting a lot of arp requests within a millisecond for the default gateway of the poller that it is on.... this is looks to be getting dropped by COPP policies on our nexus gear. this…

Thank you for the response. These interfaces in question have HAD errors at one point in time. but have not been incrementing since the upgrade to 10.4 there must be another problem. Please see the image below it shows the dates and times of the interface 1/29 with the same amount of errors as the mib walk performed. They…

I guess the word export threw me for a loop and i didnt click that due to just thinking that would just export the chart to pdf etc.. i should have just clicked that. Thank you
-
also to be able to set the custom time period vs 24 hours.. most of our work is only a hour or two but end up getting unmanaged for 24 hours.
-
If you have not already done so you can setup a custom poller to monitor pools and nodes and alert on them. just not a built in alert yet.
-
I upgraded to 10.4 and have seen it once so far.

Ok good to know that I wasn’t crazy. Like I mentioned it caused me a problem as I mentioned that when my coworker didn’t catch this and caused several alerts to be sent to our noc/network team.
