Sorry for the delay. Yes, just that it completed. I havent used the script monitor yet, so Ill have to experiment with that. Thanks.

hate to bring up a dead topic - but.. I am setting up a new install of NPM, and the ONLY thing we want to keep is the maps. Is there any way to just export the DB tables and re-import them into the new Database?

Can this be used to monitor wildcard certificates too?

I must agree with Jeffnorton here - while its a nice "feature", its incomplete - it does NOT take into account the actual part number - here is an example - I have 15 ASA5505 firewalls in the field that we montior. The part number can be anything from "ASA5505-bun-k9" for the most generic, to "ASA5505-UL-BUN-K9" for a…

I have found another method, that might be a much easier task. Since these are cameras, there is a "back door" so to speak. I just need to be able to pass the IP address to a external script.

The first thing I would suggest is to modify the email alert alarm. Under the Trigger Threashold, you can set it to suppress alert actions for ## of messages in a XX time (hours, minutes, etc). This would aleast slow down the influx of emails until you can get the AP issue fixed. Secondly, since you want to have these show…

that woudl have be the same as looking at a log file. Not really what I am after - I need more of a report instead of a job log/output.

We have a webserver that has multiple we sites attached to it, and each site has a uniquie IP address. However, when we attempt to add each website as a node in Orion, it pulls the "server" name, instead of the specific site we are trying to monitor. My main issue with this is that Orion is monitoring the actual server,…

I am getting the same error. This tool has NEVER worked for me.

simple management, error checking (you need an OUT for every IN, and visa versa), things like that. I have some ACL's that have 200 entries - its gets to be a bear when using notepad or the toolset viewer, and there isnt an easy way to isolate just the ACL you want to work on.
-
Here ya go.. I have also found that when connecting to NCM, it MUST be a local account - if you integrate windows accounts, your SOL. :/
-
Ok - how do I "reset" that?
-
it would be very nice if this was doable.. There is a competing product that has a module (similar to our UDP's) that auto-matically does this conversion.

Im looking for something like a "Radar" that will show me AP's im near, including what information possible (SSID, 802.11a/b/g/n availible, MAC address, Name, etc..) Possibly some basic troubleshooting tools.. things like that.

The OID I am using to see the raw stat (Number of connections) is 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.392.1.3.29. I downloaded a set of UDP's from the Content exchange some time back, and it works to show me how many connections are active, but I have yet to find anything about "who". Thanks for the info.

what version controller? Recent updates to the controller software changed things around - its not your standard IOS. Try using "show running-config". I backup 3 controllers (2 WiSM's and a 4402) every night. Also, make sure you have the right device type selected. For me, I am using "Cisco WLC". HTH..

wow, thats not helpful at all to the rest of the community. Should there not be a FAQ or KB articile that can be refered to, so that others that might come to read this forum for tips/help can also benifit? Especially those evaluating the product, who might make a purchasing decision on the amount of support offered here?…

thanks, and that is prety much what I tried. Ill try again.
-
for whatever reason, your reply is blank on my screen. does anyone have this? I would like to see what he provided.
-
That requires the IP SLA manager option, yes? I didnt purchase that module, so if there is a way with just Orion NPM and Netflow, great. If not, well.. thanks anyway.
-
Thanks Larry - The Policy options is just what we were looking for.

Sam 6.2.4 was just released last month, and we have a new beta already? Where is this feature in NPM?
-
I also have this issue. HTTP and TELNET is so insecure - we REALLY should be able to modify this system wide, and not have to worry about it breaking with an upgrade/patch.
-
And there in lies my problem. When I click on "Reports" i get NOTHING - its a blank page.

sort of.. I have had trouble building a node dependency on an interface. If my device (router) has 4 interfaces, and all 4 died, sure - then the router is down, and all downstream devices are down. However, if just ONE interface goes down, the router is still UP and reachable. However, when I build the alert, how do I tell…

<still waiting....>

Thanks. I took a closer look at the NTA setup, and sure enough, it was enabled.

worth a shot - never spent alot of time trying to do regex expressions. will post back results. thanks!

when you go to the JOBS screen, do you not see the "History" column?

i am seeing similar issues. Did you get a resolution?
