David - this looks great, but you have no README in your zip - how are we supposed to configure this? what custom properties are necessary, etc? PLEASE add some documentation for installation.

could someone smarter than me convert this to SWQL so we can still use it?

BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP.BUMP. Running a new scan today on one subnet. its been 5 hours, and its still going... ITS SO SLOW.. there needs to be some major work done on this product.. We need QUICK scanning, optional HOP or NO HOPS AT ALL scanning. I started a scan with…

this post was from March 2015. It is now November 2016. I see 3 new posts in the forum, the newest was from September. NO updates, not new "features" no new roadmap.. the last of interest in the product from Solarwinds is so disappointing. Not real sure why I keep bothering to renew my support. time to hunt for another…
-
it would not surprise me at all that there is another roadmap that we may not be privy to that does just this - I have also asked the question about NTM and network atlas.. should be the SAME product, if you ask me.
-
All the issues with this product that are posted on the forums, and ALL you can come up with is adding serial numbers to a report? Seriously? disappointing.. very disappointing..
-
i am looking forward to the Nexus insight - I have a couple of dozen different versions on our network. I am with Eklerwr1 - Network Atlas needs love. I dont use the maps becuase that tool is such a PITA to work with. I do have NTM, and its ok, but both those tools need some love.

Where does one extract these for use?

Thanks for publishing this report!

Yes - my primary unit is a ASA 5525, running ASA 9.3(3).2

1. We need to be able to monitor all site-2-site tunnels, and I would like NPM to be able to identify each tunnel based on the Peer address - something along the lines of "Tunnel 1.1.1.1 - <Sitename>" (Sitename could be manually added or a replaceable string?) 2. I would like full stats just like any other network based…

On the Cisco ASA - Are you planning on including monitoring of site-2-site tunnels - both ikev1 and ikev2? this is the MAIN reason we have to use a competitor product to monitor our firewalls - we must be able to alert on these tunnels, and so far, I have never been able to get solarwinds to do this. on Meraki - will there…

while on the Discovery page (Settings, Discovery Central) check that each of your discoveries are set to "MANUAL" for frequency. If SAM is attempting to discover stuff, its because it has been told to do so.

Can you post a screenshot of how you built this alert and the notification text you use?
-
Has anyone besides the author been able to make this work? As with the others, I had to remove the 'Nodes.Site AS Location,', but all devices show status as "Unknown".
-
Same here - had to remove the "site" portion, but all i get is "Unknown".
-
Thanks for sharing. Quesiton - I dont have a table "UDT_Switch". Could that be something else?
-
Does this work with the WiSM's or 44xx series?
-
Could you post your custom poller? I created a new poller, but when I try to customize it, I do not see the option to select my new poller.
-
With the lack of response, i would have to guess nobody does maintenance windows? Let me try a different approch- How would you create a conditinal group to have the alert ignore a "down" (icmp) condition between say, 6am and 8am every FRIDAY, but all other times fire? I have been looking at this, and didnt see a obvious…

as usual, you provide the perfect options to fix a minor annoyance! Thanks aLTeReGo!@

Way old post, but its similar to an issue I have - I want to be able to add the Switch Port Mapper to the Button Bar thing in the top right of the node details views.. I saw a few old posts about adding SSH to this button bar, but not much else.
-
Having a similar issue. amazed this is still unanswered!

Start your Mib Browser at around 1.3.6.1.4.1.13315 LOTS of stuff to monitor. I have gauges for successful/failed queries, referrals, transfers, etc...

For us, we created a Custom Property called TEAM. I assign devices to the teams, and have a email group that mimics the TEAM custom property - for example Windows Servers are all assgined to the "Server Team". In the alerts, the primary TO: is populated with the email group "ServerManagers". Same for Infrastructure…

I agree. The idea behind the template is awesome, but having it locked so that it cannot be modified for your own environ makes the decision to use it verify difficult. I am tempted to remove it from all 45 of our SQL servers simply because its not flexible.
-
Unless you have some really odd-ball configurations, you should be fine. Its pretty rare (since the 10.x release) that problems happen. Just make sure to follow the guide. I also make sure I do the DB Maintenance before I backup the database, and dont seem to remember having any issues.
-
Are you sure of the template being used? There is a couple of different templates depending on if you use IOS, CatOS or a hybrid.
-
You might want to go ahead and open a case with Support. What version of NCM/NPM are you running? With the recent integration changes to NCM, I get a import page just for NCM when I try to import nodes.
-
Yes and no - Yes, its possible. When you add the node, ONLY select the interface you want to watch - do not check the CPU/Memory options. You might also need to remove the related blocks on the node details pages.
