Thanks, but your talking to a non-sql guy. I have a basic understanding of sql, but looks somewhat greek to me. if I throw this into a test alert, It comes back with "The datediff function requires 3 arguments".
-
its still a problem NOW.. YEARS later - if you manually change the websites table to SSLEnabled, set your port 443, the next time you run an upgrade/update or config wizard it fails.
-
nice tool, but OMG it needs some love - with a few hundred nodes, having to manually scroll through a list is disheartening.. I dont have quite as many, but would be happy to see the 5505's fully supported.
-
Thanks. I had missed that when looking. Removed all the Obsolete reports, and there it was..
-
Hate to revive a dead topic, but I want the same comparison. With the list price of just over $26,000 for the unlimited version of NPM, I have to justify why we want this over the $11k unlimited version of PRTG. User opinion is one thing - I need a Feature - Feature comparison.
-
resurecting an old post, but did this feature get added? If not, can we re-submit as a FR?
-
but, Linux only..
-
no change.

If someone has this done, are those mibs now part of the production mib database that is shipped with Orion, or is it customized for just that request? Would a future update cause issues because the custom mib is not part of production? Also, as a paying customer, how do I know when a new MIB database was created? I know,…
-
thanks! That was what I was looking for. Now, to get all those custom UDP's installed!
-
Will SNMP V3 ever be added to Cattools for direct downloads? your method does not allow full use of the CatTools software.
-
SO.... WHERE are the labs now? still searching...
-
how about ANYTHING? here are a couple: * Scanning speed improvements * Ability to ignore ALL hops, just scan the network I specified. * option vlan mapping * customized link speed * better integration with NPM for setting alerting/montioring.

I saw this today as well, as I am trying to troubleshoot a few multicast issues here. I found that if you go to the "list resources" of the routers/mls that should be in the multicast group, make sure to enable "Multicasting" check box.
-
forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere - where can I find this with NPM v9.5?
-
Thank you - we will give that a shot.
-
I know this is an old post, but the link supplyed by MarieB was for ipMonitor, not NPM.. huge difference I think. I am looking for something to help me troubleshoot why I dont even SEE traps on my orion server - even though I have my switches (cisco) configured to forward traps.
-
Bluefunelemental - The nodes in question were in maintenance mode/unmanaged for about 45 minutes - the devices (firewalls) have been rock solid for a couple of years now.
-
Case # 557154. Have not heard from support yet.
-
This has been a problem for many years with SolarWinds products. I still get similar errors when launching the Advanced Alert Manager on NPM. please SHARE THE FIX with the community.
-
what exactly are you after with this post? We have an on-going post after every release to discuss featuers/request/etc - What we're working on post-NPM 11.0. We also have a place to suggest feaures - Network Performance Monitor Feature Requests so, im not sure what your asking?
-
Does not work for me, either.
-
sorry about the delay on this one - but had to do some real work for a while ok, so I just ran a NEW scan on one of my subnets and devices I know to be SNMP enabled are still coming up as Unidentified Nodes. I click on one of these nodes - one I KNOW is a Cisco Switch, with SNMP enabled - click on HELP -> Support -> Get…
-
thanks. will do.
-
wow. a year and no answer? I just found this post today because Im looking for the time delay used on these measures. I just cleared some interfaces, and they havent updated yet. did you ever figure this out?
-
can you elaborate on this? I was not able to find "tokenized text" in the help files for Orion NPM 9.5.1. I posted about my issue in the alerts forum - Thanks.
-
Not to my satisfaction. I am still looking at a way to do this.
-
Thanks for the suggestion, but I am not interested in spending MORE money on yet ANOTHER software when Solarwinds has that capability. Surley if vendor such as Apparent can do it, so can Solarwinds. We have invested alot of money in the Orion family, and I want to leverage that.

if you are connecting Cisco phones to Cisco switches, CDP will detect them automatically, unless you have disabled CDP on your switch gear. Unfortunatly, NTM isnt smart enought to use CDP - it sees them as ICMP nodes.

Curtis - Thanks for the input. Remote Installer - 1. No, we do not block any NetBIOS on the network. 2. the account I am using is a Domain Admin. 3. Yes, the ports are opened. Local Installer - I don't see any option to download agents for LEM in my customer portal - we are evaluating the tool - I have not purchased it…
