Thanks for your comments, but does not help me solve my problem.

Thanks. Being able to do most of the funcitons on the Web-Interface instead of having to login to the server and run the application would be a huge plus - ie - adding/removing devices.
-
Primarily SNMP v3. do I STILL have to support v2c? Side note - why is it taking so long for software vendors to FULLY support v3?
-
I just installed a demo of the NCM specifically to see that function. For me, its not pulling anything up. Am I doing something wrong? I have ran the report against Cisco 6513's and 3560's with no results.

I have a 5508 controller also acting as a DHCP server for a select network. 'show ip running-config' works. show ip dhcp pool does not. the IP part needs to be removed - show dhcp detailed <scope name> show dhcp summary <-- shows scope name show dhcp leases show dhcp stats for example: (Cisco Controller) >show dhcp summary…

call me blind, but I dont have any option for exporting to a CSV. Just "Export to PDF" option that shows up on the search page. Is there some checkbox in the config I missed?
-
Yes, I am resurrecting an old topic - because I need to do this. I am like the original poster -I don't own both sides of the tunnel. We also use Cisco ASA's to manage our Headin. anyone?
-
I would suggested opening a case with Support. You are missing the vital "Solarwinds Orion Application Pool" resource. Have you tried re-installing since the issue started?
-
I am just getting into monitoring netflow traffic, but if your sourcing all your netflow from one IP, does that skew the data?
-
thanks. I have ran a couple of scans using Malwarebytes and Superantispyware, and didnt really find anything. very odd though.
-
I am having some issues getting the Workspace studio ACL manager to pull my config (either from a ASA Firewall, or Cataylst (ios) Switch..). Once I get that figured out, ill definatly look at the tool. as I stated above, I am just looking for something to help manage the rules. thanks.
-
that might work. I *might* be able to use the crasGroup or crasISPAddress - just gotta figure out how to alert on this now. it would be great if we can do something like "1.1.1.2 was here the last 3 times we checked, now its gone so alert" without having to manually create an alert for EACH tunnel.
-
ya know, we were JUST talking about upgrading from 12.2(40) to 12.2(58).. This might help on my 37xx switches, but I have some 6500's and 3845's doing similar.

The only way to setup an alert trigger with Syslog at this time is through the console based application - there is not any web-support for creating/managing alerts (YET).
-
By default, I think the syslog will log everything sent its way to the database. You can create filters in the syslog view to only keep what you want - including rules to delete all traffic from specific hosts, etc. You also have options on how much data to keep (Settings -> Polling Settings, Database Settings, Syslog…

Been there, done that. still no-go. Cisco has not made it easy to open a case on their new portals either..
-
still no working version of this. its been what, 6 - 7 months since this was released? Come on guys.. whats the hold up here?
-
I can see the value in that. something like this? (abbreviating some of the alerts, but...) Node Name Alert Node1 Ping, CPU %, Disk Space, Interface 1, interface 2
-
Nevermind. I took a closer look at the monitor, and I can manipulate this for what we need. Thanks for the tip.
-
Thanks! That query worked. Now, if it only had the VLAN info for those ports it would be a perfect table!
-
ok - well, I need LIVE data, not stale data from a database.
-
I agree - little to little, little to late. Those of us that have had an install for a while have already created this - its a useless field. AND since we can modify it - its wasted.
-
Alex - im very interested in what you ahve done here. Is this a report? I have been able to get most of it, but where did you find the "Number of Sessions" column? i do not see that.
-
4 years later, and I am STILL not able to get this tool to work.
-
Your link is dead.
-
this should be something the devs take into account, and make adjustments for. I have one of your competitors netflow products, and it has NO problem working with anything I point it at.. including the 5508 and new 5520 controllers.

I am going to bring this up again. 1. My SAM server (the os) has not changed in over 6 months (other than critical updates). 2. SAM was upgraded to 6.1.1 not to long ago. 3. ALL my WMI/RPC monitors are starting to fail. 4. 3rd party tools, such as the Paessler WMI tester work perfectly. 5. issue has shown itself on Windows…
-
Thanks for the reference, but I am not looking to customize a custom report. I am looking to modify the email results of the configuration compare scheduled tasks. probably going to open a ticket with support anyway.
-
Ill put my name in on this one too.. I am about to have to create quite a few site 2 site tunnels, and would like to have some reporting/monitoring via Orion on this.
-
i too, have replied :) Much anticipated feature for a fantastic syslogger!
