I second that question. Feature request?

Couple of things you will need to make sure of. On the ASA, make sure you are allowing SNMP mangment from the workstation (or network) that will do the polling. With the ASA, it is going to deny everything right off the bat. (i.e. - snmp-server host inside <Workstation_1> community Changeme version 2c) Also, as a pactice,…

I think this would be a fantastic addition. I could see cases where we need to be alerted if we see too much (or rather, high utilization) of traffic to a specific site (i.e. - youtube or facebook) etc..

Apparently, my logs have been sent over to development, but have not seen much since. I grabbed the UDT 1.0.1 hotfix and installed the Port Details fix, but no change. I havent isntalled CATos or Juniper fixes, as we dont have CatOS or Juniper (per the readme.)

Thanks to both of you. that really helps.

I see this too - my 6513 has an average of 24% when looking at the switch directly, but only 5% in Orion? I aslo see this anomoly on my servers - shows them pegged at 100%, but when we goto the server, its more like 45%.
-
been quite some time since I looked at this thread - could you share your script?

interesting. I was just looking for something like this. I guess I will see if I can use the Policy reporting tool to search for it, but I dont know if I can get what would be useful. I know we can search for the string "username", but I dont know how to tell the report to "show me" the config snipit. For example, if I…

Yes, I am going to resurrect an old topic. I find myself needing to run reports based on VLAN info, and have still not found a good way to do this. If anyone has any tips, please let me know. I have Orion NPM, NTA, NCM and UDT - surley between all those tools, there is a way for me to find out what switch has what port…

Where have you seen this? Please ask your Cisco rep to provide you a published document on the EOL of SecureACS
-
Just dropped off 2 files for your review. I have 6 5ks (with Fex's) and 4 7010's if you need more. (we are a big cisco shop.)

how about an option to POLL all nodes for UDT at once, instead of manually having to pick each device? (settings/udt job status)
-
Couple of things I would like to see: * More control over the table that is shown when we search for IP's or MAC's. Currently, I can change the number of items per page, but the page only shows 10 items at a time, and is NOT sizeable. * Search by VLAN * PDF Export needs improvemets. Half the time I export a UDT search, I…

I am also having issues with the Web Generated reports displaying my logo with IE 11. Logo looks great in Chrome. well, apparently, its no longer working in Chrome now.. wth..

This is a bit more work, but you can create a few, then use the view limitations to limit it to a Single node, or matching pattern or similar. When you are on the Customize View page, click on the View Limitation section - that should allow you quite a few options for defining how the view is to be seen. HTH.

it looks like you installed NCM on the same box as NPM, right? in my experience, you will have some issues with integration with both of them on the same box. Solarwinds acutally told me that it was NOT recommended to have these 2 products on the same box. My suggestion would first to relocate one or the other to a new…

Have you had any progress with this? I can see this being useful for us as well.
-
Adding my name to the list. We just migrated from ISDN PRI to SIP and this is an area Solarwinds is LACKING in BIGTIME
-
Unfortunatly, you dont. You can submit the MIBS to the dev team, and they will compile it in to Orion, but short of that - there is no way that I am aware of.
-
From what I have found - Lenel itself doesn't really lend itself to this very well. I have created some custom real time process monitors and service monitors as well as monitoring the SQL Database. If your looking for something more detailed - like perhaps triggering on forced doors, invalid pins, etc - don't think its…

While I wasnt able to get this to work correctly yesterday, it seems to have "caught up" now, and it is reporting correctly.

17777 is the information service - 8080 is typically used as an alternate http port. Have the admin re-run the configuration wizard and make sure the run through the services and web-server options.

AND..... what was the fix? please share..

What exactly are you wanting to monitor about the phone? I know for Cisco IP phones, you can browse to the IP and get some basic config info, download logs look at a bunch of network stats, etc.. Are you looking to monitor jitter? looking for a MOS score? I doubt Solarwinds has the mibs for the phone, but - see if you can…

This seems to be VERY outdated - the last update shows for 2011. does anyone know how to get this updated with current data?
-
I actually need to modify this request a bit more. I really just need to find a way to monitor the UP/DOWN state of the site-2-site connection itself. In some cases, I will have access to both ends of the tunnel, in others, on my side - not the remote - so, I am wondering if we can actually treat each site-2-site as a…

I have, since making this post a few years back, become a Solarwinds user. I would still be interested in any ACL manager that is out there.
-
Forwarding logs to Orion will give you the ability to create advanced alerts - the easiest way I have found (for servers at least) is to create the alert on all nodes, but to set the cireteria on the text of the event ( 3rd tab in the Alert creation panel). In general, you will want to know what type of event you want to…

I have yet to see this work. Exporting to XLS would be just friggin AWSOME!

Looking forward to this one!
