  • I saw this once myself, but only on my PC. I cleared my browsers cache, and it was fine. Not sure if that will help, but it did for me. Do you get the same thing with a different browser?
  • This might be a little late, since you were evaluating this back in July. Currently, if you didnt find it already, you cannot used Orion Advanced Alerting to alert you on those problems. You can, however, use the Syslog/Trap alert engine that comes with Orion. Not the best of solutions, but its there.
  • I am also looking for something like this. I have already modified our rules so that any nodes with the "Unreachable" wont page out (Just the parent) and I'm sure there is a better way. It would be great to have something like "Parnet Node 'Vendetta' is down. This could cause issuse for the children nodes 'Omaha',…
  • are you able, as a test, to manually login to the device, and use SFTP to transfer the files?
  • Its possible, but not out of the box. You will need to create a custom property, and assign it to each interface, then you can run your reports/view based on this properly. I tend to do this to flag the Telco on my T1's.
  • I hate to resurrect old topics, but I am haivng some issues with downloading configs from our nexus units. Did you find a Nexus device template? I seem to have trouble locating one.
  • I dont know if you have made any progress with this, but there are a couple of UDP pollers in the Content Exchange that will allow you to, at the least, graph the number of current (Active) sessions of your vpn sessions - I have ours set to so WebVPN, AnyConnect, IPSec and IPSec L2L. Here are the OID's I am using on a…
  • I havent tested this - its always been an addon to NPM for us, but it looks like it is now a standalone product. Network Traffic Analyzer – Bandwidth Monitor | SolarWinds.
  • As-is no. You can use the Network Atlas tool with the Discovery to "link" nodes, but you have to put the nodes on a map and then use the "connect now" feature. it would be AWSOME if that functionality was there - feature request?
  • Has there been any progress on this? I dont see much in progress.
  • within the application itself, its one map based on what you scan. If you scan 1 subnet, or if you scan 20 subnets - its one map. if you export to Visio, you can do whatever you wish.
  • i know this is a VERY old post, but did you ever get an answer? I came across this myself today w/NCM 7.0.2
  • What do you mean when you say "6500 Sup720 - does not work"? I have 7 6500 chassis, (6 6509's and 1 6513). I use a Sup720-3b, and UDT has no problems with them. It detected my CMM modules, Wireless Controllers, and the 3 different 10/100/1000 blades, as well as all my 10g ports. Do you have "nodes" directly connected to…

  • did you ever get this resolved? We recently upgraded to Unity Connection 8.6, and I was about to start adding it to our APM.
  • I have it running, and love it. So easy to do.. I think I ended up upgrading my packages - and make sure is "-S" (case is very important.) cant remember doing anything else,.
  • Yes, I am running as root. I am attempting to simplify our configurations - one syslog entry, one netflow entry. replicating the data from there makes life much easier, for us.
  • I just want to change those nasty browns..
  • is it possible to also give us an option to just "unmanage" the device/group, without being requried to give it a date/time range?
  • Im assuming since noboy has remarked, commented or anything else on this thread, NOBODY is having the issue, or pushing it as far as I did yet. so far, neither Cisco or Solarwinds has been able to help "fix" the problem, so I have had to make some changes to how I import/monitor ports on the nodes, and hope for the best.…
  • You probably need to open a ticket so Support can assist - if you haven't already.
  • AFAIK - you cant. there is no option to disable that menu. Curious why - its just a filter for searching. Maybe if they renamed it to "Search Options"... .
  • Has anyone ran into an issue that the 10.1.1 msi installer is being denied access to launch because of a "software restriction policy"?? I get errors in our event log that show that the install only allows the installation of unrestricted items. Ive not seen this before with ANY solarwinds products, so I dont know if this…
  • First off - check your Options - Setup (Ctrl+S) - MISC - do you have something defined for SSH? (I use Putty - so, for me, its just c:\putty.exe, which works quite well.) Secondly - A) For each device that you have moved to ssh - are you able to connect to them normally - via putty/securecrt/etc? B) Are you using radius or…
  • I was told there is no support for the Engineers toolset and 64 bit versions of an os. I tried with Vista, but never got past the install screens. Good luck.
  • You may have an answer already, but Ill share what we have done. We found that Digi makes a serial port redirector that is networked based. Esentially, I installed software that redirects all calls to COM1: to an IP address of this digi box (which has a modem serially attached). so far, its been working quite well. I have…
  • Can we get 3DES encryption for SNMP v3 added? Many of my devices (cisco ASA firewalls) support this encryption. Thanks.
  • quick question that I hope one of you can quickly answer - we dont have that many ap's yet - but, I have noticed that SSID's are missing from the list - is that because we have them set to NOT broadcast, or is there something I just missed somewhere?
  • The Autodiscovery option of Visio has been removed with Visio 2003 professional, HOWEVER, it *IS* availible in the Resource tools for Visio 2003.
  • I was looking for one based on the Switch Port Mapper, but tech support tells me its not possible. Disappointing
  • Issue resolved - changed the way I was logging into the remote device - enabled the "Initial Login requires username/password" field and it magically works...doh..
