Bonjour Sauvignon, I believe we'll be able to develop the device template for TFTP backup together. You'll have to modify the DownloadConfigIndirect command in the template to reflect the actual syntax of your device. The filename of the config file on device side is private.cfg, on NCM side it's generated using the…

Hi tdrought, This behavior is by design. You can't install full/eval version of Kiwi Syslog on a machine where you previously installed the free version. You have to install the eval on a clean OS image. Regards, Jiri

SiLeNcE, The "Node Comments" is a special field that can be used as a variable in scripts etc. but not displayed on the node details page. Jiri

Hi Bassem, What version of NCM are you running? If the latest -- 7.0.2 -- then you should probably open a support case. If something older then consider upgrading to 7.0.2 first. Regards, Jiri

Hi, NCM needs CLI to trigger the config backup. Even menu-driven interface is usually OK. Then, TFTP is an option. Looking at HP templates: Network Configuration Manager, I think the following one is the closest one: HP v1910 24G PoE-1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.11.1.83.ConfigMgmt-Commands. Regards, Jiri

Hi, You can define Comparison Criteria in NCM settings to ignore certain lines in the config comparison. In this case, you would probably want to ignore lines that contain the "transfer download filename" string. Please take a look at the criteria, try it, and feel free to ask for more guidance. Hi bhazelba, NCM definitely does not insert lines into the configuration, unless you, of course, use it to change the configuration. I'm curious about the root cause. Regards, Jiri

Hi, The only option is not give the "Allow Administrator Rights" and then add roles for individual modules. If an account is full Orion admin ("Allow Administrator Rights") then he/she can modify roles for the modules. Jiri

Hi, Both options are possible. Jiri

Miro, Will you be able to share the end of the startup config, e.g. the place where the config is cut off? Regards, Jiri
-
Hi noobes, There's no limit; we recommend to keep max. 30 configs per node, but it's just a guideline. Check your NCM jobs -- you probably have a purge job enabled that deletes older configs. Keep it enabled, but you might want to adjust the cleaning options. Regards, Jiri

Hi awhite, What version of NCM are you running? Thanks, Jiri

Eric, This is currently not possible, but it's a well-known feature request quite high on our priority list. Regards, Jiri
