Hi, Improving EoL/EoS feature is one of the goals of the upcoming release: What We Are Working On For NCM After 7.2. A substantial improvement will come with the Release Candidate. Stay tuned for a couple of more days. Regards, Jiri

Hi Campy, Have you downloaded a new config after you changed the criteria? The change in the comparison criteria only affects newly downloaded configs. Regards, Jiri

Understood. Thanks for details. Jiri

Hi nrms, I agree Expect is a very useful tool; however it is not requested frequently by our customers. Regards, Jiri
-
Thank you for the summary, Steve. I believe other users will benefit from it. Jiri
-
Ron, Why don't you create a new NCM account with required limitations and add it to your security systems? Sorry, I don't really uderstand your security architecture. Jiri
-
Hi error804notfound, I like the suggestion by cnorborg. NCM 7.4 is now in Beta phase, which is not supported in production environments, but the Release Candidate is coming and that one already may be used in production. Stay tuned! Jiri

I'm not sure about the Omniswitches. Give it a try and come back if it doesn't work. Jiri

Sorry, now I understand what you are talking about. You are talking about the SCP server... Sorry, should have read the title . Maybe there's something we could do. Will find out and post back. Jiri

Raw SQL is dangerous and not guaranteed to work when we change something in the product. I would discourage you from doing that.
-
We're obviously talking about different things. For me, "settings" is the data that you see in the Settings section in the Web UI. You are looking for something else. If you tell me a little more, I can find out where that is in the DB. Jiri

Thanks, Chad. I'm sure this info can help others, too. Jiri

jeffnorton, Sorry that I'm highlighting that again, but have you updated the inventory? Then you need to resfresh the suggested dates. This operation should take at least a few minutes. If it's very quick then the system is probably not using the part numbers for some reason. Regards, Jiri

That protocol is used for both directions. If TFTP is a problem, you can use SCP. Actually, the protocol may have impact on the blank lines as explained by bene above. Are you sure that the command used to disable pagination is configured correctly? (It's the Reset command in the device template.) Jiri

Glad to help .

Two ideas: * Does the device itself have a command to wait? * If not, you could try something with the RebootAt macro. Just ideas... Regards, Jiri

Actually, NCM thwack connectivity settings is defined globally for Orion in web.config c:\inetpub\SolarWinds\web.config In <appSettings> section add these keys: <add key="proxyAddress" value="" /> <add key="username" value="" /> <add key="password" value="" /> <add key="ProxyDomain" value="" /> <add key="proxyPort"…

I agree NCM should handle such case in a more elegant way. Thanks for the feedback. Jiri

Sorry for asking, but have you gone through Self-Service Onboarding - Get Access To Smart Net Total Care Portal | Smart Net Total Care | Cisco Support Community | 4… step by step? If yes, please send me your CCO ID offline and I'll check your permissions with Cisco. Jiri
-
Hi Jon, No, he hasn't contacted me. Jiri
-
That's exactly what I've been trying to get from Cisco. We will publish these details as soon as we get them. Jiri
-
jhandberg, The engineers think there might be a problem with your NCM. Could you please open a NCM support case and attach NCM diagnostics together with this log file: C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\NCMSAConnector\NCMSAConnector.txt? Jiri

Are you able to log in to this portal? If not, you must register here: https://www.cisco.com/web/smartservices/sntc.html

I suppose you have NCM on the server you are connecting to and that the "admin" account from you screenshot is has all the usual privileges. (If you used the one that was created by installer, it should be ok.) I suppose you verified the password -- i.e. you can log in to Orion using the same credentials. Jiri

If you want to preserve your data then you must follow the upgrade path. What kind of data are you specifically talking about? Maybe we can think of some compromise.
-
Hi snowy, NCM can't validate the path if it contains a variable -- the value can be node-specific. Regards, Jiri

Thank you for your feedback. Jiri

I'm not aware of this one. We will track and plan a fix for one of the future releases. Jiri
