Two blog posts that are interesting in context of this topic: * * Regards, Jiir

The "Find Connected Port for End Host" needs NPM to work. You have obviously NCM standalone. Jiri
-
I'm glad to hear that.
-
Amir, Actually you can update inventory in NCM Web Console: Regards, Jiri
-
Hi sixmill, You just use ${CRLF} in a CLI block. Jiri
-
I have sent you an e-mail suggesting to discuss offline. Jiri
-
Hi, Have figured out the problem? Jiri
-
I see, but it's definitely not redacted by NCM. Jiri

Hi Kay, The script you enter in the NCM UI is exactly what you would enter if you logged in to the switch e.g. via putty. In your case, it will look like terminal shell set snmp-server location `show time` I'm not a IOS shell expert, so the commands above will probably have to be modified in order to work. Regards, Jiri

Hi Chris, So far, the workaround is to refresh the web page or reopen Web Access to release memory. We will consider the fix in the future. Regards, Jiri

John, that is an excellent and very educative example of many different things - how to create config change templates (CCT) - how to use variables within CCTs - how to use macros defined in device template within CCTs Why don't you upload this template to the Content Exchange? I'm going to add reference to your post to…

Dan, One of the most important criteria for a feature to be implemented is its popularity. This request hasn't been popular enough to be included in a release yet. Jiri

Let me consult with engineering and I'll get back to you. Jiri

Hi, Sorry for your experience. I asked support managers to take care of your case. Jiri

Hi, NCM doesn't support SQL Express 2014. If you don't have full SQL server, then you can use SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 - Express Edition. Regards, Jiri
-
Yes, we have an internal tool. I'm not sure if it's shipped with NCM by default as our assumption is it would only be used when there's some serious problem with the migration and thus user calls support. Jiri

Don't know off the top of my head. Could you please post the result of the case? I think it would be redundant if I ask the same people the same thing... Regards, Jiri
-
chris yoon, How much traffic are you sending to Kiwi Syslog? Regards, Jiri
-
Yes, I have a deadline to do that . Jiri
-
Thanks for the info. Glad to hear you fixed the problem. Jiri
-
Good to hear that!

You don't have to restart any service, but the change will only apply to newly downloaded configs. Jiri
-
Look at the screenshot and see the 'Columns' item in the menu. That's it.

I would add that according to our policy, we even can't share any timelines. Jiri
-
I'm really glad to hear that! Jiri

That sounds interesting. It would be cool if you could share some of your reports with the community. We sometimes even productize user reports. (E.g. your report on end-of-life devices inspired the improvement of this feature in 7.3.) Jiri

I've seen you've just done it.Thanks. Link:

That would be a NPM request. However even if you collect the data via UnDP, you will probbaly have to create your own reports. Jiri
-
That's true, but an external node has limitations in NCM -- there's no SNMP communication, and therefore no inventory data and SNMP-triggered config download. Jiri

Hello Jeremy, the answer depends on the deployment scenario you choose. Please take a look here where all the possibilities are described. Feel free to ask if you have further questions. Regards, Jiri
