We analyzed the request and found out it is, in fact, a request for SolarWinds Platform (Core). We cannot do anything directly on NCM side. Since then it has been placed in backlog of the Core dev team. Regards, Jiri

Hi squinsey, I have added your vote to our internal tracking items. Regards, Jiri

No, NCM 7.4 doesn't include this fix. Jiri
-
Have you guys figured out whether there's a command to disable the interaction?

It's discussed in NCM forum here: Cipher protocols supported by NCM SSH Jiri

Thanks!

This is a bug in NCM; for internal folks: FB188310. Regards, Jiri

Backing up UCS files in not currently supported by NCM. You can vote for it here: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/1320. Jiri

Thanks for the info. Jiri

I thought you would imagine that if it was so simple .

Hello Augusto, We are currently trying to find some solution for Mikrotik. The problem is that Mikrotik CLI works in a completely different way that CLI's from other vendors, so we are not sure whether we can do something with just a device template (without changes in NCM code). Regards, Jiri

Hi, Since NCM v7.2, the export in Web Console respects applied filters. I.e. if you limit your report just for that one device, you should be fine. Regards, Jiri

Hi, If you are still interested in full version of Kiwi Syslog and want to evaluate it, we have technical means to clean the traces of the free tool on your system. You can contact our sales team and they will help you. Regards, Jiri

Ron, Sorry, I didn't read the full context when I replied last time. Support recommendation is correct -- you need to integrate NCM 7.2.2 with NPM first and then upgrade to 7.3.2. Sorry for the confusion. Jiri

Ok, I believe using NCM instead of server 1 and 2 should be easy. Regarding Alcatel Lucent -- these should also work although I know there are a few models that have quite unusual CLI flows (e.g. prompt changes) and there were some problems with them. On the other hand, we have implemented a few enhancements recently that…

The last point is a kind of important . You need to verify free disk space. If not enough, inform user / delete old image. If you want to perform the upgrades in bulk, NCM should follow network topology no to shoot itself/you in the foot. Etc. Jiri

Try to use the default settings (see below). That works for me. You might also test the URLs to make sure they are not blocked in your network -- just paste them into a browser. Jiri
-
Ok. If that doesn't help, you should probably open a support case. Jiri

Rubin, Kiwi Syslog can be installed in two modes -- as an application or as Windows service. If you installed it as application, then simply close it. If you installed it as Windows service, then stop / disable the service (called Kiwi Syslog Server). Regards, Jiri

mrchesnutt, May I ask you what security rules make you keep NPM and NCM on separate servers? Maybe some of the conditions change with 7.3. Feel free to follow-up with me offline / via email. Regards, Jiri
-
Feel free to send me the ticket #. J.

Do you know how to proceed or do you need more info? Jiri

Hi, The default is admin with no (empty) password. Regards, Jiri

Then maybe I would ask you to open a support case and post the result back here. Thanks, Jiri

Donald, For a 30-minute interview, you are going to receive 1000 points. Our community administrators add the points in bulk, i.e. it will take a few days before you actually get them. Thanks again for your time. Jiri

Hi Donald Heinzen, It's never late to talk to the PM . I've sent you a message offline. Regards, Jiri

You must replicate device templates (in case you modify/create your own) and inventory reports (again only if you modify/create your own in the desktop NCM report tool). Jiri
-
Hi, OK, you can send me the ticket # via email, if you want. Regarding F5 support in NCM: We don't provide the template out-of-the-box, i.e. with NCM installation. There are 3 templates on thwack: * * * The known limitation is not backing up the .ucs file as NCM currently doeasn't support the backup of binary configs.…

Maybe that's a misunderstanding. The idea says "Include SFTP Server in NCM". And yes, SFTP server is included. But NCM doesn't support SFTP transfers. Sorry if I mislead you. I didn't mean to pretend NCM supports SFTP. Jiri

Steve, Kiwi CatTools is not so powerful as NCM. Maybe we could help you with particular use cases. How exactly would you identify the interfaces that you want to change config for? Jiri
