  • I've captured this as a feature request. Fwiw - I agree with your assessment of the way it should work. --C
  • Hi Chris - this is something we're keeping on the road map for a future release. We are starting to hear more requests for it, and we'd like to hear if more community members need this functionality as well. Thanks, Christine
  • Hi Warbird - are you looking for IPV6 support in Orion (NPM) or in IpMonitor? Thanks, Christine
  • We won't change the product page until we do the official QA testing, but several customers are using it on the platform with no issues. --Christine
  • We didn't officially test on Chrome for 10.5. We don't officially support it here at SW but things are definitely moving that direction (lots of us here use it as our default browser). I have it on the road map for ipMonitor. --Christine
  • Hi Bryan - I think this is just a matter of preference. Maybe Orion to EOC is better because you have them in both places? Really, I would say it's just up to you. --Christine
  • Hi all - dev answered on this one while I was out - sorry I'm still catching up with my email so I apologize for the delay in answering. So you can do this in CatTools, but it's a little bit difficult to set up. From dev: You'd basically have to set-up a Report.Compare.Two files activity for each device (as the…
  • Hi Ffreire - The new version of IpM will be released in a matter of months - but the RC will be announced in a matter of weeks. If you are looking at what's up - I'd really suggest taking a peek at APM - we have it in a stand-alone version now, and it's really powerful and price competitive. --Christine
  • Hi GriGri - please send me a message and let me know so I can make sure they understand where we are with IpM and SOAP. The support rep was right - we don't officially support it, but it's definitely still in there. I'm really sorry about the confusion. --C
  • Pyro13g - have you tried to adjust the setting: 'Limit number of simultaneous RTN download operations' option on NCM Settings > RTCD > Config Change Settings screen? That might do what you want. --Christine
  • Jon - are you referring to the web UI or the server app? I can tell you that we've been doing some work to make both faster - and you'll see those enhancements in the release we're soon to RC and in the next few releases (it's a staged approach). I'll put you on the list for the RC in case you're interested. --Christine
  • Hi Neimand0815 - we haven't had requests for this before - but we'll note your interest in making CatTools multi-CPU capable and if we get enough requests for it, we would consider adding it to the roadmap. --Christine
  • Hi GaryP - would you mind opening a support ticket as well? It's good for us to know if customers are having the same issue so we can get a read on severity. Thanks so much for your time to do this! --Christine
  • Hi Dstj - the MACForwarding table shouldn't have any effect on the NPM/NCM user tracking. Did you run a discovery? You'll need to do that to populate the user tracking information. --Christine
  • Hmm, that's good to know. I'll add that to the bug for investigation. Thank you for the info. --Christine
  • Hi All - feedback taken. Feature requests incremented as appropriate. Thanks for your input. --Christine
  • Hi Masashi - could you tell me, are you using the R2 version of Windows 2008 server? With regards to your question about the ‘telnet’ button, check out this knowledge base article: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/kb/error:-telnet-button-does-not-work/CatTools itself does not use the default windows client that the ‘telnet’…
  • Hi Pyro13g - I would suggest opening a support case. It looks like we have had a few cases like this and none of the solutions have been the same. They should be able to get this sorted out for you. --Christine
  • It's not corrected in the 10.5 RC, it was just recently brought to our attention and diagnosed. According to dev, it has to do with MAC address of different octet sizes being an issue. We are definitely tracking it to be fixed - I'll keep you posted on progress. --Christine
  • Hi Chris128 - it would indeed make sense - and it's something that we've been working on. I can't say when it will be coming out, but it's very high on the priority list. --Christine
  • Hi Saw_bah - did you open a support case on this one? I think we need to do that. --Christine
  • Hi Dave - you'll be able to choose to dynamically select nodes according to custom properties. Would that work for what you're wanting to do? --Christine
  • Hi Chris - I can't give you dates because of our public company rules (such a drag), but I can speak in vague terms - so vaguely - I can say - in the next months. We're already doing customer walk-throughs of some of the features, so it's moving right along. --Christine
  • Hi Questionario - it's not currently being worked on, but it is on the road map with very high priority. So I wouldn't look for it in the next release, but it will be something we work on very soon. --Christine
  • Hi Don - moving more functionality to the web is definitely our long-term goal. We'll have more and more functionality ported with each release. The policy reporter improvements we're working on now will all be web-based - so look for that soon! --Christine
  • Hi All - we have made some pretty impressive improvements to the policy reporter in 6.1, which is available now in RC. We didn't get everything in there, but I think you will approve of the progress that we have made. --Christine
  • Hi Dbsmith - it might be a bug. Could you open a support ticket so we can get diagnostics and investigate further? When you open the ticket you might say that you inquired on thwack and our dev group requested diagnostics. --Christine
  • Thanks for closing the loop Sheldon. Glad support was able to get you all fixed up! --Christine
  • Drummer - I haven't heard of this issue before. Could you open a support ticket? --Christine
  • Hi all - this message just showed up in my inbox for some reason. I'm sure you all know by now, but that support is in V10. --Christine
