Hi Kenosmith3 - if you are evaluating NCM 6.0 the templates are in there (fixed) for the stacked configuration. --Christine

Hi Clint - ok in my last post, I meant to say "NPM" discovery not NCM, but I think you got that anyway. Sorry, long day. Could you look in the "discovered links" report and search for the IP you are looking for, and tell me if it is in there? Thanks, C

DaBis - will do! --C

Yes, that issue has been addressed. --Christine

Hi Dmjcomputing: this is something we're working on right now. I'll get in touch with you to show you what we've got. --Christine
-
Here you go - this is easy! 1. From the Alert Action, click “Sat” 2. Click “Morning” 3. Click “Afternoon” At this point, entire day should be gray. 4. Click Save. 5. Repeat steps 1-4 for Sunday.

Ok - thank you all for your feedback. I'll get these requests documented. Discovery is on our road map to get some attention, so this feedback is well-timed. --Christine

Hi Arnold - I would suggest using the free tool to try to generate the CLI you need and pasting that into CatTools. You might also try the new release of NCM 6.0 when it comes out (very soon) as it will generate CLI and push it to the nodes you want in one easy step. --Christine

If you are running NPM 10 and upgrade the integration module to NCM 6.0 - you should see it. I think the default location is on the right-hand side under the "what's new" box. If you aren't seeing it, please try running the repair function on the NCM integration module - and that should solve the issue. Let me know if it…

Hi Leon - I can't speak to time frames but I hope to get it into the upcoming release. We're about to RC 6.1 and so I would hope to work on this and get it in 6.2 but of course, I can't be sure if that will happen or the time frame since we're just planning now. --Christine

Fantastic! I'm glad it is working. Yes, views will be limited by your the integration module *and* any account limitations you have set up in NPM unless they log in to the NCM server app or the stand alone NCM website. As long as the users use the integration module (the tab on NPM) they should only see their own nodes.…

Hi Dperkerson - if you have NPM and Toolset on the same machine - this is a known issue. http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Toolsets/docs/ReleaseNotes/releaseNotes.htm

Hi Leonardo - we are tracking this in our feature requests. Internal users - this is FB#6519. Thanks! C

Hi Nellson -this is being tracked for a feature request (25574). I'm incrementing it a few more counts as there are now two of you who are asking for it and you've asked twice. Thanks for the input. --Christine

Sqyntz - did you see the post above? --Christine

Hi Brindeda - this is something we are keeping an eye on for a future enhancement. We'll definitely be in touch if we get further with it. --Christine
-
Thanks - we're tracking that one for a new script - most likely in the next release. --Christine

Even though this is an older thread - we know that lots of folks have questions about alerts, alerting, advanced alerts, and so on. So we did a whole SolarWinds Lab espisode on it. Join us at lab.solarwinds.com on June 12, 1pm Central for the episode, and you can chat live with our Head Geeks before, during, and after the…

Hi AlexSI - Since the upgrade didn't solve this problem for you - I would ask you to please open a support ticket so we can get to the bottom of this for you. --Christine

Hi Creativity44: I would suggest using a database import, as CatTools is only designed to run against the CatTools database. It's easy to do this. Just export the data from the 3rd party database/application into a tab delimited file format then import into the CatTools database.…

WillC - I'm not sure what new line character you mean? I just tried to do this and had no problem pasting it into notepad. Can you tell me a little more? --Christine

You know, I wish I could say more about our plans and timelines, but we're limited in two major ways: 1. we're a public company and there are lots and lots of rules that come along with that. 2. often plans are still being formulated and we're not entirely sure what all is going to make it into a release. That's why we…

All I can say is that this is a feature we're working on right now - and it's at the top of the list. It's frustrating, I know, but we can't be any more specific than that because of various rules (explained here). It will definitely be coming up as soon as possible, but I'd look for it in the next release or two, not in a…

Hi Jon - we're focusing on Cisco right now. However, we hope that with the new ability to share compliance content within the community, there will quickly be additions available. I would imagine that compliance reports might require some customization for each individual environment, no matter how comprehensive they are -…
