Hi Jon0966: We have lots and lots of feature requests in our tracking system and with each release we a substantial amount of bug fixes, and we do features according to popularity. That is, if we have a request that is rather obscure, it probably won't get done. In the same way, if we have a CatTools request that is really…

Hi everyone - we are definitely tracking this request. For internal people it's FB26412. It hasn't made it to the road map yet, but I'm watching it as more customers express interest. --Christine

Thanks everyone, for your feedback on this. We'll definitely take this into consideration when we work on inventory enhancements. Lots of good feedback. --C

Hi guys - could you open a support ticket on this? It's really important that we track errors so we can solve them in the product and you don't have random recurring problems.

Hi Jnelson - we don't do release notes until the actual GA, but I can tell you that the features that made it in from the list at the beginning of this thread are 1, 6, 7, and 8. Please let me know if I can be of additional help? --Christine

There is a new release candidate for 10.5 in all current customer's portals. If you have time to try it out - please let us know what you think? You can post in the RC forum or just message me directly. http://thwack.com/forums/59/release-candidates/233/ipmonitor-release-candidate/ --Christine

Well see - now that's what I get for assuming. As far as monitoring every phone and PC - you just have to monitor the interfaces they are attached to. But when you are working with devices that are wirelessly connected - you will see them without incrementing your license. --Christine

Hi all - I got in touch with some of you offline, and given the additional information, we were able to reproduce the issue. It's going to take a code change (42007), so we don't have a quick fix. If you try to adjust the setting: 'Limit number of simultaneous RTN download operations' option on NCM Settings > RTCD > Config…

Hi Ciag - we're still tracking this one. I haven't had a lot of requests for it yet - but I'm keeping an eye on it. --Christine

Hi Rhino2000 - ipM 10.5 is still in RC so it should be in your portal. I'll check into that and contact you when that problem is solved. Did you open a support case and get bad support on this? What are you referring to when you say that you aren't getting the support you need? I'll contact you offline and see if we can…
-
Of course - sorry it isn't working for you now - but we'll get it in there. For internal folks, it's being tracked at FB#21505. --Christine

Hi Willi - We definitely hear the community on this one. We're tracking this for a future release and we've had a lot of requests. For internal folks - it's TT 1724.

Hi Juan - we're hoping to get this functionality out sooner rather than later. We have had several requests for it and it's high priority. --Christine

Hi Brrenner: In order for links to show up in the topology report, the interfaces have to be in the database. So when you do the discovery, you need to make sure and import them. If you don't, NPM won't know they exist and won't be able to do the mapping. So here's what you'll want to do, set up the discovery, and when you…

Hi Dave - if you would like the hot fix - please open a support case and let them know you want the buddy drop and we can get it to you. I apologize for the "process" but that's how we have to do these things. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. --Christine

Hi Blehmann - You can specify lines to ignore by clicking "specify comparison criteria" in the config change report screen. I think that will help. --Christine
-
Thanks! We're looking forward to being able to show you all the next release of NCM. We're really proud of the work that's gone into it. --Christine

Dave - I just checked our records and it looks like we did fix this in 6.0. Please do open a support ticket, as this issue should have been resolved with the upgrade. Maybe there is another problem. Please let us know the results. --Christine

Hi Tserreyn - this thread is actually for NCM which is our enterprise NCCM product. I'll forward your offer and question to our pm for CatTools. Thanks so much! --Christine

You can store all the messages in Syslog for auditing purposes, and forward only what you need over to NPM to ensure the database doesn't get too large. If auditing isn't important - the syslog functionality in NPM will probably do everything you need it to do. We don't have any plans to merge the products. --Christine
