Hi Aaron - this is a feature request we get quite often - and it's on the road map! Sorry we can't help you sooner than that. --Christine
-
Hi Drbest - are there certain activities that you need more than others? We increment requests each time a customer asks for them and we add new functionality and device support with each release. We are planning another release for later this year, so please send me your wish list. --Christine
-
Jeff - making sure I understand what you need here - do you need to download the configs via SNMP? Or are you asking for a custom template to download the configs via tftp? Sorry - confused. --Christine
-
Hi Nazri - I have this a feature request. For internal folks it's FB#12629. Perhaps the community can chime in with a workaround! --Christine
-
Hi Neil - when you say "used" to work, did something change in your installation that caused this functionality to break? Or did you install our RC? One more question - have you opened a support case on this? --Christine
-
Hi Dave - yes, it should. This is a known issue and it on the schedule to get fixed. Thanks for the feedback! --Christine

Hi Bob: Unmanaged nodes are not included into any NCM reports- this is actually the purpose of ‘Unmanaged’ state. To include such nodes in Policy report, mark these nodes as ‘Managed’ (right click on Node and select ‘Manage Selected Nodes’). The next step is to ensure that all Compliance policies are configured to work…

Hi Smadden - did you ever get your problem taken care of? If not, you might want to open a support ticket so we can get this problem solved. --Christine
-
Hi Brent - did you fill out new template questionnaire that includes the steps for uploading and downloading configs from this device? We are working on some new device templates now - so if you haven't let me know and I'll get that sent over to you. --Christine
-
Jon0966 - if you need a template for this device, please open a support case and we can help you. --Christine
-
Hi - sorry this reply is coming so late but we wanted to close the loop. If you let the trial version expire, it will revert back to the free version in 30 days. You don't have to do anything - it just takes care of itself. --Christine
-
Hi Masashi - we haven't seen any issues with CatTools on Windows 2008 R2 - but it isn't officially supported yet. It is on our list of "Things we are working on." You can see that full list here. If you do go ahead and do the install - please let us know if you find any issues or problems. Thanks a bunch! Christine Bentsen…

Hi Ciag - I entered this as a feature request. Thank you for the input. For internal users it is TT#5128. --Christine
-
Hi Mikeyjay - evidently - that's just the way the raw data is communicated back to CatTools. No cause for alarm. --Christine
-
Hi Grodech - this is a known issue and we're tracking it as a bug. --Christine
-
Hi Chris128 - could you open a support ticket so we can get you fixed up? And welcome to SolarWinds! --Christine
-
Hi CourtS - You could accomplish this by creating smart groups that only contain monitors of a certain type. Then create alerts that act on the smart group. If your install is quite large, you might want to steer clear of smart groups though, as they will add overhead. If your install is small you could also just create…

Hi Paul - SW has a strong commitment to support IPv6 and this is on the roadmap with high priority. I will put a note in our tracking system and invite you to try out the functionality when we have it ready, should you be interested in doing so. --Christine

I have an update with good news. To parse the at sign (‘@’), you'll need to denote ‘@’ with mail domain name via respective string argument. Please see below example script: Script TEST(NCM.Nodes @ContextNode){string @mailDomain='@google.com' cli {RecipientName@mailDomain}} Let me know how that works for you! --Christine
-
Hi Pguenther - the way the files work, the @ symbol denotes variables. I can't think of a workaround for it, sorry. This is good feedback though - we'll keep an eye on this issue. --Christine
-
Hi Dave - You can run: server app of NCM 6.0 -> Orion 9.5 but the integration module of 6.0 can only run on Orion 10.0. Yes, user tracking is only available with 6+NPM 10. --Christine
-
Makes sense - I'll enter it as a feature request. --Christine
-
Hi Hugh - have you tried Config Change Report ->Edit Comparison Criteria? --C
-
Hi Locust76: I entered this as a feature request. We're going to need to update the script, and we'll let you know when we do. --Christine

Hi Mezdem - that isn't something we support now, but I'll add it as a feature request. We review all feature requests when determining what goes into new releases, so definitely let us know when you think of things that you'd like to see in the product. --Christine
-
Ttundra277: Thanks for the input - we've had this on the radar for a while, and we're tracking it internally for a future enhancement. Internal folks - we have this as TT #4937. Thanks, Christine
-
Hi Adrian - unfortunately - no, there's no way to disable that. The idea is that it will help you keep track of what you're doing when you're making cloned monitors. Sorry about that. Christine
