Thanks Vic. That's definitely a must have. What I was referring to was this request which seems much more involved then just a simple report that compares latest running versus latest startup. =========================== I requested this about a year ago along with a cleaner file system for Cirrus. I would like to be able…

I just tried something that might drive you crazy (if it fixes your issue). I entered a single space after the ${EnablePassword} command in the script and it came back with invalid password. Can you ensure that there aren't any spaces before or after any of the commands in your script? Cirrus simply obeys and sends exactly…

SNMP version 1 nowhere to globally specify this to change all nodes to use SNMP ver. 1 which is what we use not SNMP ver. 2. You can select multiple nodes in the tree view and select "Edit Multiple Nodes" and change this property. Inventory report 'Login Status" in the Login Status column it states Login OK can we see what…

If there are others interested in this option, please chime in. For internal folks, this is being tracked as #4268

We've been asked for this capability by several other customers as well, so this is certainly on our roadmap. Unfortunately, we cannot make any committments on timeframe - certainly not a short timespan.
-
Ok, there's something else going on then. Can you please check to see if the Orion NCM Polling Service is running?
-
Can you please post the template you used and the Huawei device models the template is currently working with? I'd like to post this to our Content Exchange so that others can benefit from our work.
-
Sure, this is noted in the Admin guide (p.88 command script variables) and in the latest tech ref we just posted (p. 11) - see announcements in this forum.
-
Awesome, we'll be sure to take you up on your offer. I've noted this in the feature request and referenced this post (internal tracking #1181).

Is there a way i could import nodes based on custom propery? Yes, you can set a custom property in Orion called "EnableNCMImport". Then, in NCM when setting up the Job, map this property to the EnableOrionImport field in NCM. See admin guide for more details. I would also like to know if i click on download config it is…

Ok, thanks for all the help in sorting this out. I've captured this as a high priority enhancement. For internal folks, this is being tracked as #4180

What if you had the ability to do the following: Top Talker info in NPM Alerts - ability to include NTA Top Talker information in an NPM Advanced Alert notification. For example, when an interface's utilization exceeds your threshold, include Top XX applications in the alert notification with a direct link to the NTA…

I think it might have to do with the content of the message. Can you send me a private message with the exact message text? I'm going to have our QA try to reproduce.
-
That's correct. We've removed monitor licensing restrictions in 9.0.5. See release notes here: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ipMonitor/docs/ReleaseNotes/releaseNotes.htm

It's the only way for us to have the same behaviour as a report in the previous version of NCM. Can you elaborate on this?
-
jcooler, we've done some additional investigation on the dev side and you are correct. The issue was more complicated than we thought so our current fix does not resolve this problem. Can you open a support ticket on this one and include a reference to this thread? We want to track customers experiencing this issue in case…
-
Great! If you need any additional assistance, please let us know.
-
Have you tried setting your timeframe to longer (e.g. Last 2 Days)? If so, then I think you have a valid bug. Please open a ticket with support and include a link to this thread so we can attempt to troubleshoot and reproduce in-house.
-
Interesting. So, can you help me understand the specifics of your deployment environment? Where are each of these servers located? For example, is the web-only server in the DMZ?
-
I can appreciate your predicament, but unfortunately, the workarounds I've provided are likely the best we can do. Just in case, I'll reach out to dev just to double check that I haven't missed anything. It's important to realize that we generally don't have customers in this situation (no maintenance, can't install on…

No worries at all. Great to hear it!

I've attached a template you can try. * Copy this template into <install root>\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\DeviceTypes. * Open Cirrus console and enable session tracing (File > Settings > Session Tracing) * Go to Device Details for your Nortel 470 and select the Nortel 470 template. This template should appear in…

Unfortunately, this didn't make 5.0. This is still scheduled for a later release.
-
Your input definitely helps us with prioritization so thanks and please keep the feedback coming. FYI, incorporation of L2/L3 discovery engine technology (from LANsurveyor) is on our roadmap for our next major version release. So, what I'm hearing is the following use-case requirements: 1) Provide the ability to search for…

Awesome, thanks for working with us on this one.
-
Donald, can you pull any other inventory reports from that 4500?
-
I think your best bet is to open a support ticket on this one. We'll need to get into more detailed troubleshooting to get to the bottom of this particular issue.
-
Hi Chris, we are having the same issue. Is this a known problem for Win2008x64? We are running NPM,NTA, APM and NCM on the same server. We currently support Windows 2008 x64, but not Windows 2008 R2. Which version are you running?
-
Hmmm...that doesn't make sense. Can you go to the device details for that device and ensure that the template you modified is selected? I would change from Autodetermine and select it explicitly.

v4.0.1 is now available, which includes updated SysObjectID database (merged from Orion). See release notes for a complete list of fixes: http://www.solarwinds.net/support/cirrus/docs/ReleaseNotes/releaseNotes.htm
