There shouldn't be a need to reference a token list. When in Mass Edit, if you select a property, a pop-up dialog should come up that displays a list of properties for selection (see screen shot).

Thanks for the detailed use-case. I've got this on our roadmap. For internal folks, this is being tracked as #1795.

1. Multi-level grouping of devices. Our implementation of NCM groups network devices by region, but optimally we need to also sub-group by site name. When 2500+ devices are added within NCM, and a region may have 500+ devices, scrolling through 500+ devices to locate a single device is expected to be more resource…

You can create a custom node property in Orion (e.g. NCMImport) and map that to the EnableOrionImport field in your NCM scheduled import job. Then, set this custom property value to false in Orion for all nodes you don't want to import into NCM.

See in-product help or online doc here: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/help/syslog/action_forward_to_another_host.htm Please note that the transparent forwarding (spoof network packet) feature is only available in the registered version of Kiwi Syslog. HTH,

So, just to confirm, you have Cirrus v3 and SQL Express installed on the same machine and Windows integration authentication won't work to the local database? If so, that seems strange if SQL Server Express is running and everything is local. Have you check the SQL Server Express service to ensure it is running? Are you…

Cirrus v4.0.1 should run fine on 64-bit OS. We are also thoroughly testing v5 (due out soon) on 64-bit 2003.

There isn't a way to accomplish bi-directional applications today, but this is definitely something we've got on our enhancements list. For internal folks, this is being tracked as #30248

Hi temba, SolarWinds actually has a couple of offerings in network fault and performance management (Orion and ipMonitor). Depending on your exact monitoring requirements, one may be more suitable than the other. For more information about the application monitoring capabilities of each, please see: Orion + Application…

Try logging in as the built-in Administrator account and then going to Manage Orion Network Configuration Manager Users. Check the permission on your AD account to see if the role = Engineer.

Can you please provide your case #?
-
That should work. Can you please open a support ticket so we can investigate further?

1- In a future release, can you add the possibility to send real-time change detection report in HTML format. Right now it's text only and depending of you email client, it's not always easy to read it. Something professional like reports you can receive in NPM (alarms). we can certainly look at making this an option. for…

Jay, We appreciate your feedback and your frustration with the results you experienced in the upgrade. We've had several folks upgrade from v9 without issue, so I'd like for you to give us the opportunity to work with you to resolve your issues. Please contact our support organization and we'll have somebody contact you…

My current implementation has NCM running on one system, NPM is running on another system, and my third system is a SQL server that has the database for both NCM and NPM. I want to setup the RTCD for NCM using Syslog but my Syslog messages are going to NPM. From what I have read this should work, is that correct? I should…

Survey says... A. Solarwinds doesnt plan to support the scenario illustrated above.? See this post on "containers" concept we're working on B. Solarwinds plans to support the illustrated scenario but not yet? see above C. This is a bug and will be addressed super quick? not a bug. the resource will always try to group by…

Can you try opening the job, selecting report tab, and let me know if the appropriate report is selected/highlighted?
-
It sounds like support is working with you to resolve your issues, but I wanted to go ahead and respond to you feature requests: Since nested groups are new to this version, it would be nice to have a search that returns the locations of an object… the full path of where things live This isn't very obvious but if you go to…

To help us understand your issue a little better, please answer the following: 1) Once the web page is compiled does it run quicker? Or is it always slow? 2) What are the specs of your system (CPU, memory)? 3) Is SQL 2005 installed on the same server as NCM or a separate server? 4) What version of IIS are your running? 5)…

Please open a support ticket on this and we'll look into this.

What is the specific VLAN setting you are looking for? Is it already something gathered in NCM inventory reports?
-
They can be installed on the same server.
-
Are you referring to NPM?
-
You'll need to add the macro for "enter" which is ${CRLF}
-
That's correct. With the NCM integration module, you would need to enable "customize this page rights" or login in as that user and configure his NCM credentials for him and then take these rights away. We're looking at resolving this in our next release.
-
Not today, but this is in plan for the next version of the NCM integration module.
-
That makes perfect sense. How did you fill in the ddns custom property field? Did you edit each device and fill in a ddns value or did you use a macro?
-
Thanks ajsb, we've seen this from a couple of customers as well. We're working with Sophos now to get this resolved.
-
I confirmed with dev that this can be done using a script. There is one that is shipped in APM 2.0 called FileFind.vbs that can be passed a UNC path as its parameter. It is located in the samplescripts directory.

This tutorial explains it fairly well: support.ipmonitor.com/.../13a7520467994df6a4f3bad6b0a096f6.aspx Couple of notes: 1. Threshold values are specified in KB (kilobytes not bits). 2. Last-Value Threshold Max Traffic is what is used to trigger the alerting process. ipMonitor first checks this value. If this is exceeded,…
