Can you post the end of the session trace where the file is discarded? Everything up to this point looks fine. Also, could you post the template you are using?

Is there a way of showing a view or report that shows IP hosts with with the total number of connections open (no in Mb) for a given time period. The idea is try to identify virus/spyware clients that are sending massive amounts of small packets out to other hosts. Please try out the attached custom report and let us know…

If this is causing you issues, I'd simply recommend removing the thwack resources from your NCM and NPM views. Otherwise, they'll check the RSS feeds for new posts on each refresh.
-
We are certainly looking at those general areas of improvement for future releases, but I can't give any specific timeframes. To help me prioritize, it would be great to have your top use-cases for each category (analyze, correlate, report).

In NCM 5.5.1, there's an "Import from Orion database" job that you can schedule that will merge mapped database fields with your existing nodes.
-
I'm not sure I understand. Can you describe exactly what system source you're trying to receive Syslog messages from?
-
What specifically do you want to see in the Orion NCM Configuration History pane? The messages you are seeing might actually be specific to the Nightly Config Backup jobs.
-
SLXer, good feedback. We definitely understand there is more work to do there, but as always, we prioritize on what the majority of customers are requesting most. NCM website usability (at least specific to inventory) actually hasn't come up much at all, so we've turned our focus to other highly requested items. So that…

Thanks for the feedback. We'll get these fixed.

justinh, If you're out of maintenance, you won't have access to the latest production version of NTA so it's unclear what you're trying to accomplish by installing the eval of the latest version. Are you trying to verify an NTA fix before renewing maintenance? Not sure if we'll be able to help, but can you clarify exactly…

Hi wood78, I hope you were able to get this up and running. To use the NCM integration module, you'll need to have an NCM server installed as well. There should have been two files in the NCM zip file you downloaded. You'll need to run the one without integration in the name to setup the integration module. If you need…

One slightly annoying thing is that when editing monitors and hitting 'OK' or 'Cancel', you are taken back out to the main Devices view. ipMonitor doesn't save the current view, so you have to click 'Last Results'. I think someone else brought this up, but it was contained within a classic "I upgraded and now everything is…

There is an updated version of the integration module installer. It is in the latest 5.0 package in your portal. You'd need to redownload it to get the integration module installer zip. Wrt/ setting up NCM and NPM on different servers, there really isn't much to it. The NCM integration module is installed on the NPM…

This is not currently possible, but we've absolutely got this on our roadmap as a high priority request. For internal folks, this is #434

Does clicking the refresh button in the uppper right-hand corner of the node list control update the status?
-
When I watch cirrus trying to login I see it passing the enable command instead of config global What is the series of commands you need to type after logging in to be able to show the running configuration?
-
Can you post your session trace?
-
Kawibi, I don't believe we've seen this one before. Please open a support ticket and include the details of the error you received.

By "VMware awareness", can you be more specific about the types of metrics you're looking forAre you looking for health of ESX server (CPU, memory, disk) or just allocation of resources (memory, CPU, disk) across in VMs? Also, can you confirm you are talking about VMware ESX Server?

Can you take a screen shot of Task Manager and showing the SolarWinds services sorted by Memory utilization. It's hard to tell from your screen shot if the high memory usage is really due to the SolarWinds services or something else.

1.) When I click on the NCM link at the top of the NPM page, I get Page Cannot be Found. If I open a new tab and type the link to NCM, it work fine. I have changed the settings under Conneciton Information under NCM Settings. What did you specify for the Website URL? 2.) On the NPM home page - Last 5 Config Changes and…

Very clever workaround! Thanks much for sharing with the community.

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it! Couple of follow-ups for you. How do you like the new features? What didn't you like?
-
This is a really interesting feature request. I'll add to our tracking system. For internal folks, this is #1796. If there are others interested in this feature requests, please chime in to help us prioritize...

Yes, go the computer where you've installed ipMonitor and re-run the Configuration Wizard (Start > SolarWinds ipMonitor > Configure ipMonitor). This wizard will allow you to create a new Admin account.
-
Not today, but more granular permissions / account limitations are on the roadmap for our next major release.
-
One workaround is to create device template specific to each of your external routers and modify the command for TFTP to point to the correct NAT IP address for your TFTP server. You can copy and existing one and then manually assign to each of the devices as required (versus using AutoAssign). For example, in the device…

Currently, you have the ability (similar to advanced alerts in Orion) where you can use advanced if/then logic for node selection within a particular job. However, you cannot specify a different target snippet or command script for each node.
-
Currently, there is not, but this is something that we're looking at for a future release. If there are others out there that are interested, please speak up to help us prioritize.
