Integration module update

Is there going to be a new version of the integration module installer? I have seen some posts about changes being made to it. Also, is there a document on setting up integration in a situation where NCM and NPM are on separate servers? I couldn't find anything in the NCM documentation.

You can find the following information on p. 19-20 of the NCM Administrator Guide.

The following Node Details resources are added to Orion NPM when you install

the integration.

Last 10 Config Changes

Provides a list of detected configuration changes, listing the user committing

the change, the time of upload, and the type of configuration.

Last X Config Changes

Provides a list of nodes on which configuration changes were detected. This

list is added to the main Orion Web Console summary page and is created

by finding all the nodes shared between Orion NPM and Orion NCM.

Last XX Configurations

Provides a list of configurations date-time stamped with the time of

download. Clicking a configuration takes you to the configuration details.

Node Configuration History

Allows you to specify a time period and the configuration events you want to

see displayed in an easily scanned chart.

Recent Configuration Changes

Allows you to designate a time period and view the specific configuration

changes which occurred during that time period.

Recent Configurations

Provides a list of configurations date-time stamped with the time of

download. Clicking a configuration takes you to the configuration details.

There is an updated version of the integration module installer. It is in the latest 5.0 package in your portal. You'd need to redownload it to get the integration module installer zip.

Wrt/ setting up NCM and NPM on different servers, there really isn't much to it. The NCM integration module is installed on the NPM server. In NPM Admin, update NCM connection settings to point to your NCM server. As long as traffic on port 17777 is allowed to the other machine hosting the main NCM server, life is good. See the diagram in the Admin Guide for a visual of what this architecture looks like.
