If you're currently out of maintenance and would like to renew, I'd recommend contacting customerservice@solarwinds.com and they can talk you through your options. I believe there might be a different out of maintenance price.
-
Ok, thanks. We'll track this one through the case moving forward.
-
I'd recommend upgrading to NPM 10.0 and APM 3.5 at the same time versus just doing the upgrade to NPM 10.0 if that's what you're asking.

We're about to do a blog post on what we're working on in the next few days. We'd love to get everyone's input once you've seen that list. There are a lot of top priorities (e.g. 1, 1a, 1b, 1c), but we believe we're working on a lot of your top requests ;-)

Can you post a session trace and we'll see what we can do to figure this out?
-
For those of you still experiencing the issues removing crypto lines from your comparison reports, please see this post:

1. Nightly change detection between running and startup configs. I'm not looking for a report, just utilize the graph on the NCM homepage that shows % of running config vs startup config conflicts. I don't believe I need Real-time change detection for this to work, but I could be wrong. So, you just want the graph to show…

It appears we've sent the PreCommand (CTRL+Y), but we're stuck waiting for the login prompt. On other Nortel devices, we typically see a username and password prompt inline after hitting CTRL+Y. Can you please send me screen shots of the steps required to login to the device and download the config via TFTP?

Thanks for the feedback. Incorporation of the L2/L3 topology discovery engine (leveraging LANsurveyor technology) is an architectural change that would necessitate a left of dot release (e.g., 6.0). I agree through the web interface is definitely a must-have.
-
Great, thanks for the post. If there are others that are "all in" on the enhancement request, please chime in as well to help with prioritization!

Are you looking at the job?

Can you try disabling node monitoring (File > Settings > Node Monitoring) and then try restarting the polling service? If that still causes you problems, I'd recommend you update your case (or create a new one) about this problem. The polling service currently handles node monitoring and policy cache updates, but should…

Ok, this is the first time I've seen this issue. The precommand should be sent after 3 seconds of no device response, but this isn't happening for some reason. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we're going to be able to troubleshoot this any further here. We'll need to get some additional logs. Please open a support…

Can you post the session trace you are seeing with 5.0?
-
With in the next few months we hope to have a beta. If you're interested in participating, please send me a private message and I'll get you on the list.
-
I meant to ask in my previous post. Can you describe how you would use an API for scheduling backup jobs? Why an API versus scheduling this through the existing GUI?
-
Ok, thanks julrich. For internal folks, I've created FB#19677 to track. For those watching this thread, please chime in to help with prioritization. Thanks,

skierjmh, thanks for that...you just made my day As soon as this service release is out the door, Sham and the team are going to be coding like there is no tomorrow on the web console. I'll definitely be reaching out to our friends on Thwack to give you a preview of our initial prototypes in the coming months... Cheers,

Will do. by the way Chris, what firmware version are you running on your 1900? We're running version 9.00.06

We found Kiwi Log Viewer was most often useful to customers who were already looking at Kiwi Syslog Server, so this was intentional. However, I can see how users who come to us by way of SolarWinds.com versus Kiwisyslog.com might find that strange or might not even realize that Kiwi Log Viewer exists. I'll discuss this…

It's hard to tell if your problem is related to others in this thread without more details. Can you be more specific as to the type of problem your experiencing?
-
Yes, in 5.1.1 we added the upload/download and execute script commands in the NCM standalone website. Check it out by navigating to http://yourNCMserver:8888/ In 5.5, we added this same capability to the NCM integration module (for those who own NPM and prefer one website). I agree with recommendation to upgrade. We're…

We're scoping that right now. We hope it will be within the next month.
-
I see that you bumped the thread, but I'm not sure why. I'd be glad to help, just let me know what you're looking for... Also, be sure to read the previous page of this thread on our plans to explore the addition of BGP AS in NTA.
-
I'd be happy to talk to you about our plans for this support. Please send me a private email if you'd like to discuss more.
-
Yes, we're actually wrapping up our testing. If you are interested in testing an early release candidate, please send me your SW customer ID so I can validate your NCM maintenance and I'll send you the build.
-
This fix is in SP1, which is in testing now. Our hope is that we'll be able to make SP1 available before the end of them month.
-
We're working on this as we speak:
-
This is definitely on our radar. I'll update the what we're working on list soon (after 3.6 gets closer to release), but I've heard this enough to raise the priority. Having said that, if others are interested in BGP AS information in views, please chime in so we can include you in prototype reviews and demos. Thanks!

We appreciate the feedback and it's certainly a fair question. We're looking into this on the dev side and will see if there's a way we can make this automatic.
