Thanks everyone for the feedback. I've captured this in our tracking system. For internal folks, this is being tracked as #4712

Thanks Chris. I understand, and let me be the first to say that the Solarwinds products we stick to are very helpful to operations and management; they do their job well. You and your teams are doing a GREAT job. I am sure this issue will get resolved. The team opened a case a few days ago, but we've been observing…

Yes, this is limitation of the IOS version. Unfortunately, not all Cisco IOS versions support the SNMP set commands for configuring NetFlow. As you noted, this has nothing to do with the ability of the device to support NetFlow. We are exploring what it would take to put together a list of which IOS / device combinations…

This is fixed in APM 3.5.

I'm trying to find out what happened to the Kiwi Log Viewer. I am being told that client tool is now included with the server but do not see that mentioned anywhere on the site. Does anyone know what happened happened to the viewer? The viewer and the server are a great combination. FYI, Kiwi Log Viewer is still available…

Since 9.0 was released 10 months ago, we cannot afford to back date all fixes into the 8.5 environment. The only exception would be if there was a major security issue discovered on that train.

Donald, it seems there's some misunderstanding here as I think we're actually all on the same page. We understand that the Unmanage Utility Brandon referenced is just a first step and there's room for enhancement. However, in the 10.0 time frame, we had to make a trade-off between providing you the ultimate scheduled…

Great, let us know how that goes. If you continue to have issues, please go ahead and open a support ticket and we'll investigate further.

Correct.

I tried this same template on our Cat 1900 in the lab and am getting the same results as you are. Please open at ticket with support for tracking purposes and reference this thread. I'm going to open a item with dev so we can investigate immediately. For internal folks, this is being tracked as #3302

We've created a template that we believe should work for the Cisco VPN 3005 concentrator using *indirect* transfer mechanism. As you'll see when you review the file, we can map the menu-based commands to our available macros and variables documented in our Admin Guide. Would you mind trying the following steps: 1) Download…

I've tested that report on my lab here, but I've only got 1 3750 stack. Can you send me a screen shot of the output of the report in your environment? Also, is this report acceptable or is there something else that you'd want incorporated into the OOTB version?
-
The problem with your banner is that it's all on one line. The problem NCM is having is only when there is a line break with no IOS prompt being returned. that's correct. I tried this on our 3750 in the lab: ${EnterConfigMode} banner motd ^ Warning Message Use of this system is restricted to authorised users only.…

In NCM 5.5.2, we provided support for SCP and SFTP. I'd recommend upgrading and seeing if your device will work with that version.

just simple parent/child relationships would go a long way toward "even correlation". MagnAxiom, if you're interested, we'd be happy to show you some initial mockups we have of our proposed approach as we'd love to get your feedback. Please send me a private message if your interested. For others reading this thread, feel…

I can't speak to exact dates, but I can tell you it won't be this year.

We're working on integration SCP/SFTP server into Orion NCM and will have a beta build available shortly. If you're interested/available to participate within the next couple of weeks, please let me know. Thanks!

We only save configs of a certain length to prevent from saving corrupted configs. Show ip route static is likely under this limit of 11 lines. We've got this on our roadmap to address in a future release, but until then, your best bet is to run this in a execute script job and save off the results. Unfortunately, this…
-
This definitely on our roadmap. In 5.1, our focus was making more config management operations avaialble through the website (config upload/download and execute script). For our next major release, we'll definitely consider formalizing this capability. In the meantime, I would recommend checking out the workaround…

Sorry, you posted in the Orion NCM forum so I assumed your issue was with this product. I'd recommend opening an issue with support. You might also post to the Orion NPM forum to see if any others are experiencing this problem.
-
You'll want to check out 5.1.1. We've fixed the issues with the built-in "Import from Orion database" job and provided additional filtering options.
-
Perfect, thanks!!
-
Eric is correct. And, if you install the NCM integration module on your Orion website, you don't need the NCM standalone website.
-
Ok, thanks for the clarification. Let me know the case# when you have it.

Sure, here you go: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/ipmonitor/ipMonDoc.aspx

Dave, by default, the inventory SNMP reply object uses a hardcoded SNMP timeout value of 1200ms and retries of 2. With 5.5.1, we've allowed inventory SNMP settings to be configured using the global SNMP settings (File > Settings > Network > SNMP settings > Advanced). Can you try adjusting the values and seeing if this…

Ok, let us know if v5 doesn't resolve this issue. We're committed to ensuring you can connect via SSH to this device, but ideally we'd like to work with you on the latest version as this version also adds new device template options.
-
Right, so what commands do you have to issue to start the transfer via TFTP? I assume it's something like: tftp <ip address of tftp server> <file name> go Once we know this, we can enter these steps into the template.

NPM 10.0 and APM 3.5 will GA together very very soon. In fact, I can safely say it doesn't make any sense to wait any more since the last RC build (RC3 for both) IS the GA build. The RC period is over and we're NOT making any more changes before GA.
