Nortel 470 Switch template

Has anyone created a template for a Nortel 470 switch? It is a menu driven device, so I'm having a lot of difficulty getting it to work with Cirrus.

Have you reviewed the tech ref on creating templates? If so, do you have a template that you've already started for this device?

I have reviewed the tech ref, and found it to be confusing. As I said, I need to have this template completed for management review. When I purchased the product the tech rep assured me that it could handle the Nortel switches, in reading through postings on Thwack, I am starting to think that this is not the case. I am really not sure why there wouldn't be a template for the Nortel 470, it is a widely used switch.

If you could provide me with a template, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'll have a template you can try tomorrow that is based on the commands you sent me. I'd like to setup a web meeting tomorrow to walk through this with you and hopefully get you to a point where you're comfortable with writing templates on your own.

BTW, is {ctrl} really a carriage return new line or do you really have to hit the CTRL button?

I've attached a template you can try.

Copy this template into <install root>\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\DeviceTypes.
Open Cirrus console and enable session tracing (File > Settings > Session Tracing)
Go to Device Details for your Nortel 470 and select the Nortel 470 template. This template should appear in the drop-down for template selection
Set download transfer option to TFTP
Try downloading a config
If it doesn't work, please post your session trace to Thwack (<install root>\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\Session Trace)

It appears we've sent the PreCommand (CTRL+Y), but we're stuck waiting for the login prompt. On other Nortel devices, we typically see a username and password prompt inline after hitting CTRL+Y.

Can you please send me screen shots of the steps required to login to the device and download the config via TFTP?
