This appears to be a bug and similar to case 53559. Can you please open a support ticket on this one to help us prioritize the fix?
-
Can you open up the Windows Event Viewer (under Administrative Tools) and check to see if you see any errors or exceptions?
-
Can you provide more details on the use-case?

Hi Magman, WAN Killer in Toolset can generate packets, but you would have to use trial and error to find out what max speed was by adjusting the settings until you hit it. For example, several of our cable customers use this tool to validate that a customer's network link is meeting download bandwidth SLAs. If you're just…

Unfortunately, Microsoft has favored WMI and removed SNMP support for monitoring application servers (e.g. IIS, SQL, Active Directory, etc.) in later versions of Windows. We are working on a new application performance monitoring module for Orion leveraging technology from the ipMonitor acquisition. In addition to process…

I've conferred with dev and this is still possible. It's still possible. You'll just need to set the filename datestamp format to YYYY-MM-DD-HH. You'll need to go to the schedule configuration for archive and navigate to the destination tab.
-
This is possible only with the NCM integration module and Orion NPM. Orion NPM provides account limitations, which can be used to limit which nodes users can access from the NCM section of the Orion website. See this post for more details: http://thwack.com/blogs/80984.aspx

Jon, your custom show commands should have been backed up, so you should be able to revert back to your original toolbars. Let me know if you can't find it.

The left column has the date/time that I kicked off the report, seemingly indicating "now", but the current configuration line items are listed in the right column. This is the first thing that is confusing. I agree, we can definitely make this more clear with labels that "left" column is BEFORE state and "right" column is…

I think your best bet is to open a support ticket on this one. We'll want to capture some additional logs to troubleshoot as we haven't seen this one before.
-
You can sort by date, but you have to change the report options to disable grouping (by default the report is grouped by Node Group). Once grouping is disabled, you should be able to click on the column header to sort by that field.

Hi Robert, Thanks for the feedback. I'm the PM for our new licensing system which we plan to roll out to all our products. Toolset obviously presents some unique challenges in offline scenarios given the number of licenses some customers like yourself have to activate. We definitely understand where you're coming from and…

Are you running NCM v5? We enhanced RTCD to support multi-homed devices as part of v5.

One option would be to create a node custom property called something like "UnifiedApplicationName" and then group by that custom property in the All Applications resource. I haven't tried this, but it seems like that might give you the high level status view you're looking for. We're working on a couple other concepts…

SNMP v3 support was added for the most popular SNMP-based tools in the v9 release. It is not available in v8.
-
Can you post the session trace?
-
No current plans, but it is something we are looking at for our roadmap.
-
You can setup an IP address group in NTA (see Admin > NTA settings) that maps to a particular subnet and then show the traffic on that group. Then, add the Top XX IP address groups to your view.

We've got it on our roadmap to email reports as PDF attachments. If you want to print reports in PDF, I would recommend checking out PrimoPDF (http://www.primopdf.com/). It's free and I use this quite a bit myself to convert online purchase receipts into a PDF doc. HTH, -Chris

If you haven't already, please create a support ticket for this one.

Do you have macros (variables) in your scheduled execute script jobs? If so, there is a known issue and there is a hotfix available. Please open a support ticket and reference internal tracking #2673.

Hi Paul, If there is a MIB that you want us to add to the MIB database, you must create a support ticket and provide us with the actual MIB so that it can get compiled. Our goal is to try to compile the MIBs every 1-2 weeks and make them available in a new MIB database on the customer portal for you to download. Hope this…

Dan, Thanks for the post. We really appreciate the frank and honest feedback. We're working on a number of enhancements that would be helpful in addressing some of the use-cases you described (see this post: ). I'd like to setup a gotomeeting with you to run through the following: 1) Use-cases you described above using NTA…

We're tracking this is a feature request. The only way currently to sort custom SQL reports is to change the "ORDER BY" clause in the report definition.
-
Please open a support ticket and include steps to reproduce and we'll look into this one. If others are seeing this, please chime in...
-
Can you upload the template you created to try to make this work? Also, if you can post the session trace of a download using your template? You can enable by going to File > Settings > Advanced > Session Tracing.

If by "NetFlow devices" you mean any traffic sourcing endpoint (e.g. laptop, desktop), this isn't possible. If you just want to limit which NetFlow router sources show up on views, you can configure account limitations on each account to restrict which nodes each user can see (Admin > Account Manager)
-
Yes, this is possible. You can use macros/variables to define the path. See Appendix A of the NCM Admin Guide "Node and Archive Variables".
-
Thanks for the feedback. We'll definitely take these feature requests into consideration for future versions. To ensure I capture these correctly, can you please elaborate with several use-cases for each of the features you listed?

The weird thing is that these 2 builds were built identically. That is strange. It should rule out any system environment differences between the two servers, so not sure why one would be giving you WMI issues and not the other. I think your best bet is to open a support ticket on this so we can investigate further.
