We'll need to get a session trace then of the download to see what's going on - steps below. 1. To enable session tracing in Cirrus, go to File > Settings > Session Tracing. 2. Attempt to download a config from the problematic device. 3. Then, you can find the session trace for your device in <install…

Jon, sorry to jump in here, but that's behaving by design. If you already logged into the account on the server, Cirrus will not prompt you again for authentication. Can you try removing that account from Cirrus and adding a different account to see if that has the desired behavior?

Also, just FYI, we're working on making sure that the "ghosts of evals past" issue is resolved in future Orion releases.

Thanks for the device info. We'll look into why this isn't showing up. Matt, our ipMonitor dev lead came through with a brilliant workaround: * Perform an export in the system settings window just selecting devices / groups * Copy the XML into text editor * Modify data in the vendor tag using search and replace * Import…

Thanks for the additional feedback on this one everyone. We're going to see if we can add this to the next version (no guarantees). Here is what I'm proposing: Add the following option to Download Config job notification settings O Send config change notification details in a separate text email O Send config change…

This is a SolarWinds issue with a 3rd party control we leverage. This will be fixed in an upcoming SP.

Menu-driven direct transfers (show run) will be supported in v5 and will be available in the BETA3 build. kbenton, I know you've figured this out, but for others out there..... For most baystack Nortel devices, the method to enable the command line interface is as follows: * Login to the device * Choose command line from…

Cool, that's certainly the right workaround! As noted above, we're looking at providing quick select and multi-level grouping from the NCM module view so you'll be able to give full access again at a later time.
-
Ok, so you're primarily interested in managing Microsoft Exchange. Makes sense. It sounds like what you're asking for is a WMI Browser for "walking" the WMI services tree and selecting a specific statistic. Is that right? Also, what version of Exchange are your running?
-
Can you elaborate on what you mean by reset the web settings template?
-
Sorry, you're right. You'll need to use the custom script monitor and create a ping vbscript.
-
That would be port 17777 in both directions for managing nodes. This allows communication to the Information Service running on the Orion server (nothing to do with polling). Cirrus would also require port 161 for SNMP (if you want to run inventory) and you'll want to allow ICMP traffic through your firewall if you care…

We hear you. We're working on adding eval support for Vista and Windows 7. However, it's worth noting that a server OS is highly recommended for production roll out, so it might make sense to setup a Windows server for testing purposes anyway.
-
This is expected to be resolved in v5. If you'd like to participate in the v5 beta, please email me directly at chris.lapoint@solarwinds.com
-
Yes, that's definitely one of the ideas on the table. Please stay tuned.
-
No, the upgrade from v4 to v5 will preserve all your existing data.
-
CuppaT, glad you were able to work it out. When you get a chance, can you please upload your device template to the content exchange area?
-
Ok, so you are saying that you need to run 2 commands to get the entire config? If that's the case, this is not possible with a single download command. What you might do is change the template to the following to achieve this effect: <Command Name="DownloadConfig" Value="${ConfigType}"/> <Command Name="Startup"…
-
If you run the script as a job, the script will process in parallel. You can adjust how many are executed at one time by going to File > Settings > Config Transfers and setting the number of simultaneous uploads/downloads.
-
From your case: I can not build templates from browseing processess or services on servers on our network. I wait 5 minutes for it to load or search services and then I get a blank white box. This doesn't sound like the issue being reported above.
-
Yes, it supports those operations, but as I noted, this was a just a beta integration. We haven't published it yet.
-
Can you elaborate on what you mean by put something in My Network? Also, where in the Dashboard are you seeing this component missing?
-
Please ensure that under File > Settings > Real-Time Change Detection > Config Change Settings the following option is checked: [x] Limit number of simultaneous RTN download operations If it is checked and you are still experiencing issues, please do open a trouble ticket and reference this post. It seems we still haven't…

Thanks Dakaix, Just to clarify for everyone reading this thread, we do NOT officially support running Toolset on 64-bit versions of Windows OS. This is an exploratory effort by David to determine what issues exist with Toolset on 64-bit so we can attempt to resolve these in future releases. Before we can/will claim support…
-
That's definitely not the intended behavior and we'll want to fix this for sure. Can you try stopping the NCM Syslog Server and then try restarting your NPM Syslog Server. It may be an issue with port conflict. Let me know how this goes.
-
If you are referring to an issue where RTCD did not match properly on multi-homed devices, this has been resolved in 5.0. For internal folks, this was #1265.
-
Thanks everyone for the great feedback thus far! Please keep it coming!
-
Don, Can you verify that you entered appropriate Windows credentials for RTCD? File > Settings > Realtime Change Detection > Config Change Settings Also, what method are you using to launch the config auto download process (Syslog, Trap)? Thanks,
-
Can you try right-clicking on one of the HP switches and selecting Execute Script and running you script? This will allow you to see the results of that command running on your HP device. Please paste the results into your post and we'll continue to troubleshoot.

Nope, that's perfect. BTW, making the sun rise might be a challenge, but I'll make sure dev at least looks at it.
