What version are you all on? I believe this issue is fixed in 5.x.

*sigh* Just as I feared none of the major shortcomings are being addressed, just a bunch of low hanging fruit that leave glaring fundamental capability holes intact. Just out of curiosity, why did you come into a thread called "Multiple pollers - one graph" and get everyone's hopes up when that's not at all part of this…

Thats not too bad. Unless you change the default config Cisco devices only send the flow data once the flow is completed. Their post DOES make it sound as if it is also will on top of security data sent traffic info. This is big news we all here thought it would not. Thanks to everyone for your posts on this subject. Based…

Ahh, that makes a lot more sense now. That command wasn't added until 3.5.1

Did you happen to copy and paste your response from any Microsoft Office application? If so, that would explain the extra formatting. You'll want to copy and paste from a plain text editor to avoid this.

Yes, please open a ticket with support and attach session traces. We'd like to confirm that the updated DLLs fix your issue as well. Also, the fix is included in the v5 BETA so it would be really helpful if you could verify v5 resolves the issue. Please sign up for the beta here: We expect to have BETA3 build available…

WORKAROUND: Here's an update on a workaround in the meantime: 1. Add the interfaces you want to receive CBQoS data about as monitored NetFlow sources. They do NOT have to be sending NetFlow data to NTA. This tells NTA to store the CBQoS data in its tables rather than discarding it. 2. Add the CBQoS resources to your Orion…

Stephen, thanks for the heads-up. Please continue to work this issue through support. I'll make sure the dev team is aware if/when this gets escalated.
-
v4.0.1 is now available and may resolve your issues. Please see release notes for more details: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/cirrus/docs/ReleaseNotes/releaseNotes.htm

Please continue to discuss here. But for those of you who are able to reproduce consistently, please submit a ticket to support so we can track these cases and potentially address in the next service pack.
-
For all those affected by this issue, please open a support case and include a link to this thread. Also, ask them to assign your case to dev TT#2994 to help us prioritize this fix. Thanks,

No problem. We appreciate the time and feedback!

Yes, we've got this on our roadmap. Our goal is to allow users to optionally add a new config type (e.g. Route Table) and manage it as if it was another config on a device. So, you might have Route Table, Startup, and Running configs for each device. We'd love to get your feedback if this approach makes sense to you or if…

No worries, thanks for posting the fix. I'm sure others in the community experiencing this issue will find this very helpful ;-)

Please email them to chris.lapoint@solarwinds.com

Sure. Enable here: File > Settings > Session Tracing. Then, attempt to perform a download and go to <install dir>\Configuration Management\Session-Trace and look for a file matching the IP of the device. Post the trace text to Thwack and we'll see what we can do.

Thanks SJA. This is very helpful! If others are also interested, please chime in with your use-cases.

Can you try going to NCM settings under Admin and ensuring you have the right IP address for your NCM server in the "Hostname or IP Address:" field?
-
Just FYI, I found this resource which might be helpful: http://cwashington.netreach.net/depo/view.asp?Index=1143&ScriptType=vbscript Let us know if anybody is able to get this to work as we're exploring the possibility of making this a built-in capability in the next release of APM. HTH

Add the following command to the template: <Command Name="Reset" Value=""/>

Please keep the feedback and use-cases coming. We're listening and we'll explore this to see what we can do post 10.0 Just FYI for internal folks, this is being tracked as #16365.
-
Just FYI, you can also add the CBQoS resources to your Orion NPM interface details views.
-
Sure, you just need to go to the device details and set the Enable Level drop-down to <no enable login>. Let me know how this works for you. Are you able to see the configs underneath the device now?
-
Ken, not sure if you ever got this issue resolved through support, but I wanted to suggest upgrading to NTA 3.5 SP1 and setting DNS resolution to dynamic DNS (in NTA Global Settings). This should significantly improve performance and resolve the AddressResolve table issues you're experiencing.

Hmmm....what's strange is that Cirrus looks for a "#" to indicate that you are in enable mode. Have you tried to download a config to see if that works? Also, the session trace you posted is not the complete trace. Can you please capture using the following steps? 1. Enable Session Tracing in Cirrus by going to File >…

I suspect that I will only be hiding the problem with the application from myself following this recommendation. We need a method for the admins to control the front end (comparable to NPM). That is correct. Currently, you'd have to either log in as each user and change this on their behalf or you'd have to have the users…

Thanks!

any news about getting AS_PATH ? It's still something we have on our radar, but no time frames. Can you elaborate on your specific use-cases for this capability?
-
For internal folks, I've added #2667 to update diff cache when baseline operations are executed.

justinh, in NTA 3.5 and later, we added Top Talker Optimization, which has allowed customers to run successfully with up to 60,000 flows per second in peak. Unfortunately, given you cannot upgrade and you're not on maintenance, we've pretty much exhausted our options to assist you. Hopefully, you've seen enough to feel…
