Our plan is the replace the existing module. For customers that do not want to move to the new module, the existing AM module is being upgraded to work on the upcoming version of Orion so you're covered either way.
-
Can you give me your case#? I'd like to try to find out what happened.

It'd be nice to say "any interface that has ROUTER in the description, apply this set of parameters" ... any interface that says "PC/IP Phone Port", apply this set of settings ... right now, I have to manually configure each switch port because NCM is a blind paste of configuration. Being able to match criteria for an…

Yes. Kiwi Syslog can either forward the source IP address in the message (as per RFC 3164) or you can configure it to act as a transparent proxy and forward the Syslog UDP packets unadulterated.
-
Also, please open a support case on this. We definitely would like to figure this one out. Please reference this post and let them know PM wants this escalated to dev.

I agree advanced regex filtering for script output of Execute Script jobs would be very useful. I've got this on my list of impactful features, but I can't guarantee anything. If there are others out there interested in this feature, please chime in to help with prioritization.

It isn't an option. You have to manually append -HH to the existing YYYY-MM-DD option.
-
Unfortunately, not. You'll need to upgrade to 10.0.

Okay Chris, I can't seem to tell if this is precisely what's happening, or just what it looks like. I'm running NPM's syslog server and trap receiver. I am not running the services for NCM's syslog server and trap receiver because it's running on the same box, and the alerting takes precedence over NCM all day long. As a…

I have looked through the NCM admin guide, but it is not real clear as to what I should expect to see. I am running NPM/NCM on the same server, NPM existed there first so its syslog server was the one that was installed. I still see syslog events from within NPM. should I also be able to see events within NCM's syslog…

Ok, I see. The "cached" list for each field is actually based on values currently in-use by other devices, so it isn't possible to delete this list. To prevent users from seeing previously specified values in drop-down, you should enable hiding of passwords (File > Security).
-
Right, sorry about that. That was actually something we changed per several other customers' requests. I'll add a feature request to allow for rolling up job results across multiple nodes to a single file.
-
Great! Good suggestion on the config change report. I've captured that one as well. For internal folks, this is #3815
-
Yes. In 5.5, you can use the scheduled config purge job and set it to "delete all except the X most current configs".
-
simonpt, thanks for your patience on this one and sorry for the delayed response. The Multitech GSM modems work well with ipMonitor. I'll check with dev to see if we've done any specific testing on Wavecom. In the meantime, you might check out this post which describes some troubleshooting techniques by our resident GSM…

Thanks guys, keep the feedback coming. For internal folks, I've added some ticks on the number of folks requesting.

We definitely appreciate you submitting your issues so that we can continue to fix and improve the product. While we do our best to ensure we catch everything during our QA acceptance phase, it's always possible that there will be some issues that are not found. So that said, if you feel like you are consistently finding…

Are you referencing the machine by its fully qualified name when accessing the website via HTTPS? E.g. https://clapoint.aus.acme.com/

Do you have CBQoS policies configured on each of those interfaces? If no CBQoS policies are configured, the resources won't appear on drill-down to those interface details views.
-
Right, that was a prototype resource that is specific to the online demo. This was added prior to the NCM 5.1.1 integration module release that provided a specific NCM summary view tab with it's own node list. Can you describe the specific use-case you're looking to solve with this resource? I'd like to understand if still…

NTA uses the same database as it is an extension module to Orion NPM. The recommendation above is that you spec out the appropriate hardware for the Orion DB so that you can handle the additional I/O load from NetFlow data collection.
-
I'm missing a feature that allows me to make sure that config backup is running on the devices that I'm monitoring using Orion Network Performance monitor. Are you using the Realtime Change Detection feature? This effectively ensures that after every change, a new running config will be downloaded from the device and saved…

Thanks Jon, we appreciate the help. I definitely hear you on the leave for a week, come back to 2 weeks worth of work. Let me know when you do and I'll make sure the case gets assigned to this issue in dev.
-
Great, for internal folks, I've capture as #3188. If there others out there interested in this capability, please chime in to help prioritize.
-
Jim, definitely let me know what happens after install of .NET. If .NET is the issue, I agree the message is unclear and we'll need to get this fixed. Just one other check, are you trying to install on a 64-bit Windows 2003?
-
jp, this is really strange. We should only be overwritting attributes you explicitly mapped from Orion in the "Assign Import Columns" part of the wizard. Do you remember what you configured there? Also, do you know what specific attributes were overwritten that caused your backup to fail? We definitely want to help you get…

Thanks everyone for the candid feedback. For our next major release (after 5.1), one of the key drivers is to ensure we can provide more controlled scalability in RTCD. For all those experiencing (or have experienced) issues with RTCD, please post the average and peak load number of unique config changes you expect on a…

Ok, please open a support ticket on this and reference this post. I'll also try to chase this down on the dev side as it looks like a bug.

So, just to confirm, this report would require that you inventory each member of the stack separately by its IP address for it to show up.
