Any update on this? I'm having the same problem.

We're using an RSA SecureID (4-6 numerical pin + 6 numerical digit on the fob). I have created. I've been playing around w/WS and it's growing on me. Nice to have a single interface for the tools.

and BINGO was his NAME-O. I had to add my account in the permissions. Thanks Mark!

Greg- Thanks for the pointers on getting it working. Here's a good example of what I was talking about in my first post. In Workspace you have an option to telnet/SSH to a device. Thank you for adding SSH, however if we want to create a Saved Credentials it requires a username and a password. We require a secure token for…

Hmmmfff, still get the error. Could this be caused by DB permissions? A little background on this issue: I tried installing Netflow module (which failed), uninstalled the Netflow module, started getting this error.

Thank for fixing my work Elisabeth! I never thought people would actually read my how-to. You can also access the doc with this direct link~ packetpros.com/.../SNMPv3_Orion.html

Solarwinds contacted me and they reoslved the issue (was in my db tables). They fixed my problem in under 20 minutes and we're a great help. The front lines need some tweaking but the people behind the scenes are excellent.

I found a site that helps with the reinstall of .Net blogs.msdn.com/.../8904493.aspx Download and run the application provided in the blog. Once completed, reboot and run Windows update to get your version of .Net installed (do not use the installer). Workspace now loads.

I've done that too.

I have set SCP on a linux server-very easy, I have setup SCP on a Windows Server using OpenSSH-bit of a pain. Lastly I have setup SCP on a Windows Server using Vandykes VShell-very easy and well worth the money if you have to use Windows.

That gave me a login screen (NCM service won't start), but it also broke Orion web interface. I've had a ticket open since 9/29/08. I've pretty much given up on tech support and Cirrus working via the web. I've fixed the service not starting. After logging in NCM, I get a new error- Orion NCM Web Site Error…

Thanks for clearing this up, but I do have one question. I understand that we enter the credentials for the terminal server (that works correctly, I can connect) but what about the second set of crendetials, the login to the console of the router? We require authentication to login to the device via the console port, just…

DEP?

The above (in courier new font) is an example.

During the upgrade I receive the following error- "Error while executing script - There are no matching rows on which to report." A screenshot of the error is available in the ticket, number 61083.

I have the same security concerns. Hopefully SW is addressing them otherwise we will not be able to use Cirrus anymore.
-
but I have not purposely tried to break it either
Do you usually try to break your stuff? ;-)
Try sometimes, generally break, yes! I would not see it as a priority for me. I would rather see enhancements in other areas (integration with Cirrus, web admin on Orion, etc)

I don't see anything on Cisco nor looking on a router :-(

Mark- Thanks for the help. As I was going into Component Services, it was brutally slow. I remembered that our MSDTC sometime gets FUBAR'ed. I entered the following at a command prompt that relieves that problem msdtc -resetlog, then net start msdtc. I went in and it was responsive. I delete the COM Application, then…

I can't re-install .Net 2.0. It states the product is already installed and to use add/remove programs. I try that and it won't uninstall because other programs are required to use it. I try and 'change' it , but that does not work either. My only other option is a manual uninstall/install. Since I have otehr programs that…

I created a report (that maps to some of the STIG) but since the reporting feature is bit weak, I wouldn't give it to the auditors Is there a way to export rules? Maybe we could all combine our rules and make one!

Geez, I even read the release notes, but didn't see the one that addresses my issue. Sorry and thanks for your time. BTW- Is this a patch or do I need to download and install the full package? Thanks again.

There were a number of us that had this concern and there was a thread concerning this in the BETA forum. Is that forum still available?

You can get the server name. I use the following: ${FullName} is ${Status} In the message it states 'MSSQL on CNU456-P1 is down.' The Application Monitor has some extra variables the others don't (no custom stuff though).

So should I be able to download Account Manager? It's not listed anywhere.
-
Chris- Thanks for the reply. Yes I can access the NCM website just fine. I have run the repair as well as an uninstall and install, but I get the same error. Collin

Sort of, you can save your SNMPv3 Credential Set. Then you have to open the node details and change from your current SNMP version to the version 3 and specify the saved credential set. Of course you still have to configure your equipment, but thats what Cirrus is for!

Assign the router a temporary ip address (to an ethernet interface) and copy like the following link suggests. www.cisco.com/.../products_tech_note09186a0080094b23.shtml
