Just add an additional CR in your Cirrus script.
-
Whats the problem, I've set it up before.
-
I have mine configured to not Alert if the Node Status is equal to Down. I have this set under Alert Suppression, you will of course need to do this on Advanced Alerts.
-
Same with me, however our "other" netflow application does the same thing.
-
I don't think they should incorporate Netflow. It is memory hog and I would like to see Orion stay fast. I have a seperate Netflow server and I just created a menu item that links to it. I agree to add custom MIB's though
-
great, thanks!

ntp clock-period is dynamically generated by IOS when you configure NTP. You should not have to remove it. If you have problems with NTP sync, you can then try removing it and letting IOS configure a new one (or adjust it yourself if you have too much time on your hands).
-
NG- Do you know the MIB for that?
-
IPSLA is completely separate from this, however would be an extremely cool feature if added to Orion.
-
You can use something like firedaemon or Windows Reskit tools instsrv.exe and srvany.exe.
-
Dirk- Maybe you should just post it!
-
Greg- Thanks for the info. I saw that in the template, but I made the assumption SW set the pager to 0 to get the config (which I had to do in vbscripts prior to getting Cirrus). I'll change it to 50. Thanks again.

Yeah, I hope they put some devlopment time into the map maker software.
-
I would think something simple like- 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.19.1.1.5 Cisco AS5350 Number of Active PPP Sessions

What exactly are you looking to monitor? Email traffic (use Netflow or NBar)? Number of emails transfered (use software like Antigen for Exchange/Groupwise/whatever)?
-
Has SNMP been configured on it? What model is it? Did you go to Huawei's website and look for an example?
-
As long as it's SNMP capable, it can be monitored.
-
Take a look at something like pingplotter if that's all you need. www.pingplotter.com
-
You can monitor the services, for example DNS, but SW will not actually query DNS and make sure it resolves a name. It monitors that state of a service, but it can not validate that the application itself is correctly working. Does that make sense?

I got it to work--sort of. What I did was create a custom property (actually I used the pre-build CustomerID) and assigned the proper node to the proper Customer. For the switch that I have multiple customers connect to, I did not assign a customer to it. I left it blank. On the customers Summary Page, I created a link to…

Inventory uses SNMP, config download uses a login.
-
Bryan- Take a look at Solarwinds Orion, it will do exactly what you are looking for. There's a live demo you can look at as well. HUA-
-
You really should let your customers/resellers know this type of information. We now have to find new software to monitor our customer networks.
-
I get this with Cisco equipment....
-
You don't need to be logged into the app for it to run. You need to schedule a job to back up your configs. Go throught the wizard like process and that's it. You should read the manual as it goes through this process in detail.

I typically use a program called GetIf (google for it) to make sure SNMP is working correctly. If GetIf reports that SNMP is not working, I check the server for configuration problems. 99.9% of the time it's a config issue on the device, not SW (for me at least).
-
what is your firewall?
-
A command script is just what you would type in the router to configure it. config t no username MMessier username MMessier password MySeCrEt enable secret EnAbLeSeCrEt clock summer-time CDT recurring clock summer-time CST recurring 2 Sun Mar 2:00 1 Sun Nov 2:00 end write memory

It's only in Beta currently, but you could use the SNMP Trap Alert. That might solve half of your requirements. It can notify when it sees a specific trap (ie BRI channel up).

Cronnog is a different Netflow product than Scrutinizer. I eval'ed both and Cronnog blew Scurtinizer away. Scrutunizer has pretty graphs, but Cronnog presents the info much better.
