Yup, I had missed something.
-
There is so much blank space everywhere! I put in a request to also remove blank space on the user portal.
-
Technical Project Manager haha, but I was also Service Desk and Desktop Support before
-
I can see how it can be useful to have fields that can be used anywhere - but for us, it is not just causing clutter. :( If you find a way to sort them better let me know! Cause I haven't found one yet.
-
Think outside Thwack.
-
Dang 6! I have... two currently and I haven't even input them, just have them written on the sheet.
-
Oh! I was looking through requests and saw I voted on this one and they have since added this feature! You have to give Requesters the permission to Read: Users. We've had end users use this function on tickets which is helpful.
-
I work for a cloud-based company where our engineering team manages that side, so we mainly use the Service Desk. It would be great to have some more improvements and automation there. Like the option for having a sandbox that you can push to production, an easier way to organize and sort custom fields, additional settings…
-
That is assuming everyone has experience with database troubleshooting. I work end-user support, as someone who hasn't done this terminology, using the keywords in the question - it is not easily searchable.
-
We have two main teams that use SWSD, IT (of course!) and Customer Service. We wanted our CS separate so they can work their inter-team tickets.
-
I liked this little mini mission. It was challenging but not impossible.

a bustling bakery, medium but annoyingly complex

I can only agree with everyone else that today's was misleading. One of the options is written with different information than the documentation explains. Based on the documentation you can't tell what HTML version is used so you can't make an informed decision if that is or is not a new feature.
-
That is helpful! I would have never expected that to be the answer. Just looking at the screenshot did not tell me that is what it was. Thank you.
-
Nert guns are fun, but as an adult, I would still play with a Spirograph.
-
A helpful hint for today, 1/23, do not read the question as what this company literally says about the tool, but what they said and did.
-
Hey @"ChrystalT" when I look at the demo, I don't have the widget called for (in incognito or regular) and can't add it in the free online demo. Is there some other way this would be found?
-
YES!!! This would make so many things easier. We have a form where Customer Service agents can put in an issue and it marks who their supervisor is in the form but it can't currently cc.We also have supervisors who want to know what their team has submitted but they have no insight.
-
I have done one of these before on here, but this one takes the cake. I know it is supposed to be easily searchable but either I am getting rusty with my searching skills, or this is not as easily searchable as you'd expect.
-
Question 8 is quite frustrating, it is not easily searchable, I got an X and it doesn't tell me what was the right answer so I can look it up and learn more. Is there a better hint for this day?
-
I've been slowly looking at different forms of ours and trying to clean up but I also have to have 3-4 screens open so I can compare. And if something is a depending field, it is even harder to remove and there is no demarcation that it is dependent until you try and remove it.

I'm so glad Service Desk is finally getting a spotlight. Sadly some of these prizes are a bit meh, but glad to actually talk about Samanage/SWSD.
-
Our company does not manage any on-prem servers or networking, so the mail SolarWinds tool we use is Service Desk. But it is interesting reading about the capabilities of other products.
-
Yeah I couldn't figure it out either.
-
I can say, after pouring over these, some I finally got but 8 doesn't make any sense. I put what I assumed was right and got the X, but when you look at the branches of analytics/analysis none of them are 1 hyphenated word, 1 non.
-
Were we supposed to type the hyphen or was it assumed? 8 doesn't tell the correct answer so I don't know if I had it right but had the hyphen wrong.
-
Some questions in the past have been so tricky, but I have to say today's about pg_dump was written very well. To get the answer you had to read and understand the information but it wasn't too hard to understand for someone who doesn't use the tool. Nice one Thwack team.
-
Thanks Chrystal for adding some more info! In the survey you have to answer a question on the data, since this can be done with personal info or the demo file (which does not have the info requested) how would you prefer us to answer this?
-
Thank you!

Would have assumed the last question of the month would be more "either answer" correct based on how it is worded. As someone who is not a developer, this month has been rough and all over the place for me.
