It's going to depend on what windows version you are running. You can probably just Google installing IIS on Windows <your OS here>. Here is Windows Server 2008 for example - http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/29/installing-iis-70-on-windows-server-2008/

#1 - this is a known issue and already logged into our system to address #2 - How are you adding the subnet? Via the Add Subnet or Subnet Allocation Wizard? If you add via Add Subnet, there is a checkbox to not add IP Addresses on Add Subnet #3 - I will ping you offline on this, but you can define a custom field on the…

There is for sure something out of whack, if you have not already, please open a support ticket so we can further investigate.
-
I would recommend upgrading to v10. We made some specific performance enhancements around maps and network atlas in v10

I just tested that on my box too and saw similar behavior until the next poll happened. To test I set a bunch of my currently down ports to unplugged and then manually kicked off via web node management a re-discover and poll now and after I did that the node turned to green and the red blinking box went away. Try that out…
-
Scheduled un-manage of a node is something we hear quite a bit and have on our list for a future version
-
Good catch, something we missed, I will enter a work item for us to take care of this in a future release.
-
This could be due to a bunch of reasons. How many elements do you have on your poller right now? My recommendation would be a support ticket to look into.
-
Please open a support ticket so we can gather logs and investigate please

Ben, I am looking into this a little further. Can you confirm some data for me please? Does this occur on on both you SNMP v2 and v1 devices? What type of device do you have the UnDP created against?
-
OK so you have EW enabled at the switch and port level. If you run the EnergyWise Readiness Report, what is it reporting for this device in Orion?
-
Hard to tell what is going on. Do you have an additional web server you are trying to log into instead? Best bet for quick resolution may be a support ticket.
-
No this is currently not a support feature in Orion and we have in our system as an enhancement request. With SNMP Traps we can change interface status, but that is it currently today. Some folks have also used our APM product with it's component monitors and custom scripting to affect status as well.

Memory will be pretty low. Disk space really varies on how long you want to keep them, rate of messages you get per hour etc. You can also log messages to a DB if you want to offload that storage requirement to another box.
-
Are you on the latest Service Pack? If so, I would recommend opening a support ticket
-
Not yet, we have a bug filed against this to address and allow you turn them off in UnDP charts
-
Please see the bottom of this page for what we recommend. You can do an eval on XP, however, we typically recommend since this is a server app to do it on a server OS. What are you planning to evaluate? Any of the modules? How many devices and interfaces do you have?
-
I believe what you ultimately are looking for is a subnet template which would allow you to set a standard subnet definition when you add a new subnet, correct? You cannot do this in IPAM today, however, what you can do as an alternative is you can define and set custom fields at the IP level and then set that custom field…

Yep, we have had multiple users seeing this error and we are aware of it. It just shows in the bottom left of the browser right? Does it currently impact any functionality?
-
Have you tried Kevin* or *Kevin*
-
Soon, what issue are you concerned about?
-
To be perfectly honest, as the Product Manager for both of the products you mention here, I would recommend LANSurveyor for your specific use case you have defined here.
-
We typically key off of SysUpTime, is that for some reason rolling over frequently?
-
Have you enabled the UnDP for display on the web? If you right click on the UnDP and select Web Display, you can specify which view for it to show up and in a chart or gauge? Also ensure that you have assigned that poller to the nodes you wish to monitor
-
Have you checked out Orion IPAM? It has web access to anyone can view it.
-
Byron, open a ticket please and send diags. We would need to look at the web.log to see what the exception is and where it is coming from.
-
Is kiwi plus SQL Server appropriate for this? Yes, but logging to a file is also appropriate. If you log to a file you can use our log viewer application to search the files. Where can I find the table schema, to do some testing on an actual SQL DB? You would have to create the DB instance and setup an action to log to…
-
How much time has transpired here from the AP being taken offline/removed till you looked in Orion. We may not have performed another polling cycle yet.
-
On the first item, I assume you are referring to the web home page? We have some known performance issues we are currently working on addressing. Second item, you may want to open a support case on
-
You hit the nail on the head with LEM, that is going to have the correlation engine and ability to handle non-Syslog data sources. For Syslog, you can have the logs dump into a text file daily, so they are partitioned. If you need to search the various log files, we have another Kiwi product called Kiwi Log Viewer, which…
