Thanks for the feedback, I will log this as a new enhancement request
-
Have you seen this thread here
-
You should be able to do that no problem, there should be an advanced alert trigger action for send an SNMP Trap
-
Term is correct. ipMonitor is a custom database, so there is no driver and no schema is exposed. Also Term is right, Orion does use SQL and does provide what you are looking for. Sorry for the delayed response.
-
Can you elaborate what else you are looking to do besides what is available in the UI - Configure your look and feel
-
This has been an on-going discussion, please see the following thread for more info and to post other ideas as well -
-
Please open a support ticket so we can investigate deeper.
-
I checked with R&D and they confirmed a couple things. First, we highly recommend you do not access the DB file. For your use case we recommend you follow these steps here. The section of main importance here is: File Import You can import XML, CVS, and DWHL files. To import a host list: * Under Central Server, click…

I assume you have active maintenance? In the customer portal there is an upgrade document which helps guide you through upgrading from previous versions and then steps you will need to take in upgrading. You will also need to call Support and get the downloads to the versions you will have to use to stair step upgrade to…
-
What version are you attempting this on?
-
Also see here, we are working on a more in depth integration with AD in the next release, see here
-
Yes, this should have been fixed in 10.0 SP1
-
So if you go to the Admin section of the web console and under Web console setting I believe you can change the header image as well as the text on the login page.
-
We have looked multiple times at Google Maps, however, their cost structure is very unfriendly. We have been looking at other alternatives. In the meantime, someone in the community wrote their own integration which you can ready about here
-
Not possible today, you would need to create a custom resource.
-
Can you open a support ticket on the app crashing please
-
I double checked the Release Notes and If you currently have Orion NPM version 8.5.1, you must upgrade to either version 9.0 or version 9.1 before going to 9.5
-
What SP are you on? As the maps are now stored in the DB the path is different than the past as indicated in the first post.
-
We also have some free tools use can you, WMI Monitor, Network Device Monitor as well
-
What types of questions would you like answered? What problems do you face with these switches? Example, a user cannot see the traffic that goes back forth between hosts on the same vSwitch on the same ESX box.
-
Something we are thinking about and looking at, but as you indicating, not today for DRE, still only MRC and DRS.
-
I am looking into this, I am having to get some information from engineering first. Will respond back once I have more info.
-
Absolutely, what questions do you have?
-
Yes, this could absolutely replace those.
-
It is in process now, we have the translated file and are doing validation of them.
-
SP5 is only required if you are running IPAM 1.5. If you are not, then you need to download hotfix 2 from the customer portal and apply it to your NPM 9.5 SP4 install.
-
Sorry, that was my fault, I didn't post it there as well like I should have, my apologies, I will post there now
-
If you choose edit chart in the drop down on an item on a node or interface details page and select custom time period and then specify a time period range, then refresh, you should see it update
-
If you want a different time period for each day, you are right you would need to create multiple alerts. I have added this as a feature request for consideration in the future.
-
I will log it into our system, but I have not heard this request very often. Typically what people do is using the Trap & Syslog viewer, create rules which drop certain messages automatically and only look to log and alert on other specific messages which match a given pattern.
