This is currently not possible today. We have an enhancement in the system to allow you to add UnDP's to maps.
-
We are looking into adding additional support in a future release. It primarily depends on demand from ya'll the community. We have heard a few request for HP, a couple for Trapeze and one for a couple other vendors here and there.

Please contact support and reference this thread in regards to the updated Atlas to EOC map importer tool
-
Was this a brand newly created map since 9.5 or a map you upgraded from 9.1 to 9.5?
-
I would recommend opening a support case
-
What is your ticket number so i can look up what is going on in the case?

In NPM you can create filters against Syslog and then using variables pull specific portions of the variables and put in the action message.
-
torrielw, Not sure if you aware, but we recently acquired Kiwi Enterprises (http://www.kiwisyslog.com/), in which their their key product is Kiwi Syslog. With Kiwi Syslog you can store Syslog messages to a flat file and then configure rules within Kiwi to forward specific Syslog events up to Orion. Also, the ability to act…

Please be aware this will affect all user accounts

Different components use different languages, but for the web, you are correct. Is there a specific question you have regarding a specific piece of the app
-
There is an upgrade doc in the customer portal under the license management page. If you look at the section for Orion NPM, there should be this guide which has a flow chart and walks you through the upgrade paths you would need to take.
-
Couple things, first you will want to grab the latest and greatest which is 9.5 SP3 and see if you continue to get the same error or not. If you do, best bet is a support ticket.
-
Under Misc there is a resource called Polling Engine Status you can put on any view, including your Summary view
-
This is something we are actively looking at how to best address going forward
-
This is a known issue we are working to resolve
-
You are correct, this is an open enhancement request we have defined in the system
-
Please check the additional components section of the Customer Portal
-
Yes, we do, SQL 2005 SP1 is just the minimum we support
-
We have a defect filed in the system on this issue and are looking into it
-
No you are not missing anything, this appears to just be a limitation of the existing implementation.
-
That is an enhancement we will need to make to the discovery engine to recognize and understand etherchannels
-
You can unmanage elements in Orion. If you are running v10 from the additional components in the customer support portal there is a utility called the unmanaged utility you can download and use to schedule these events. See here for more info

Great feedback William, thank you for taking the time to write this up. So besides if a user complains that voice or video is choppy for example, how do you track or determine if they are meeting acceptable thresholds for you? Is this a concern? Is this something you feel IPSLA could solve for you. The ability to create a…

If you are using a web proxy, you can do the following: In the web.config file in the root of the website, there is an <appSettings> section. You'll want to add the following params to the section, like so: <appSettings> <add key="proxyAvailable" value="true" /> <add key="userName" value="username" /> <add key="password"…

Also, just so you know, in the next version we are breaking out topology gathering from Network Sonar into it's own Polling Job in the background, so discovery should naturally get much faster. We are in beta right now if you want to check it out, just let me know.
-
Correct, however, you may get stuck at a point in the future where the product you do have support for is no longer compatible with the product you don't have support for and will not work. So just keep that in mind. We try to enforce backwards compatibility as much as we can, but sometimes we make architectural change or…

Good feedback, noted
-
I would recommend opening a support case to look into.
-
Let me share this with engineering team and dig into further and come back to you.

You should just add the controller to NPM and it will pull the information including the thin AP's in it's first poll. Should not be anything for you to do besides adding the controller
