Change one of your devices to send to the poller it is assigned to, try that out
-
No not completely. This is accurate here. You have defined a parent-child relationship The Parent goes down From the Orion server there is another path in your network to poll the device and it is up We won't mark it unreachable, it will remain up
-
Best bet is to log a support case to investigate
-
Not for what we poll out of the box. If you want to change or poll something different, you can create a Universal Device Poller to do this.
-
Hard to say and diagnose via thwack, what might be the best bet is to open a support ticket
-
And what is the difference between these two? They look like the same executable! Solarwinds Information Service SolarWinds Orion Information Service V1 Just different version, depending on the modules and versions you have installed they may need an older version Not really sure exactly what these do: SolarWinds Orion Job…
-
Noted, you should in the meantime be able to use UnDP
-
Good feedback, I will enter this into our system as an enhancement request.
-
I believe it can be done, our ITSM product has an integration option via Zapier - Connect your Salesforce to SolarWinds Service Desk integration in 2 minutes | Zapier

We don't have SNMP access to those devices or those device do not support the MIB we are attempting to poll. What type of devices are these?
-
Understand the issue there, something I have up there on my list for the future
-
If you removed the old one click add to add a new one and use the following url - /Orion/Admin/ResetPassword.aspx
-
Might this scratch the itch? See here
-
Yes the GA bits will be there very soon. I will post back here once those are live. Sorry for delay in response, I was traveling all day yesterday back to US.
-
Tom, I believe you are correct. I just went and checked in our defect tracking system and see an open item there for this.
-
Gotcha, since you are evaluating I have sent an SE your info and I am going to have them reach out to you to assist.
-
Are you familiar Map Variables, see here. Also, have you seen the metrics now available in maps with 9.5?
-
bshopp - I was sent some info on the UDT direct, it is exactly what i was asking for, for the capacity planning aspect etc, but i fear it will need its own polling engine to do this job alone! which will be very pricy unless an additonal 'engine' is inlcuded in the pricing structure!?? I am not sure what was sent to you,…

Yea, just run a report and export to csv or text of all the nodes and on the production system you can choose to run a new discovery and select bulk upload and copy and paste those IP's from the old system in there and run it. You will still need to redefine the community strings if different and you will lose your history.

If you have a copy of engineers toolset from us or any other program that allows you to do a mib walk, what you can do is walk the interfaces mib or IF MIB and that is where we are getting alot of the stats for interfaces. It could be there is a bug in the vendors SNMP implementation and it is not updating the MIB properly
-
What SP are you on?
-
No, not that has been released yet. Do you have a support ticket open on this item?
-
All maps are stored in the DB now
-
Got it, anything else ya'll would like to see?
-
OK cool, keep me posted as your plans evolve
-
See this post here on the features. We are in beta now, but I cannot give an exact date on when this will be released.
-
Check this out and see if it helps any
-
So I added a new node with external and instead of entering an ip, I entered www.google.com and then on edit changed www.google.com to Brandon. Can you elaborate on how you would use this?
-
Network Sonar should work, if we discover the vCenter then we will also discover the VM's associated to the ESX hosts and you can add them all via there.
