The Syslog Viewer tool is installed on the server in which you installed Orion NPM on.

This is good feedback keep it coming. To the earlier point on why remove existing functionality I already discussed one reason, but another reason is if you noticed in 10.1 we introduced three new services with the word collector in them. We are starting to introduce a next gen poller into the product which will be…

Good list, so I am going to respond to each inline here. Please feel free to PM me offline to discuss these more in depth further. Network Atlas: * Being able to resize labels/text boxes So just an FYI, if you want to do multi-line you can do a shift-enter to get a new line. * Position Securing of Labels/text boxes which…

Using report writer you cannot put graphs in those reports. You can have the top resource delivered to you in email as HTML or PDF or you can manually export directly from the web console to PDF that resource.

You might want to check out this post here

Cool, in our next version we drop the active-x requirement by default for toolset integration and use javascript instead, which should help these cases out alot.
-
renjith777, this is just not something we have heard from customers a ton as a request to add to the product
-
So if you have the images you should be able to copy them on your Network Atlas install, on mine it is c:/Program Files/Solarwinds/Orion/Network Atlas/Maps/NetObjects/Large Icons You can copy them there or create a peer folder there and copy them there and then when you add a node or interface to a map, right click on it…

You would need to download and install this on the Orion machine - http://www.wireshark.org/ If you have trouble, might make sense to give Support a call
-
Nothing I can commit to at this time, but we do have it logged for consideration for the future

So if you have Engineers Toolset and ever used the IP Address Manager there, we can pull those into IPAM To import IP addresses and subnets into Orion IPAM from the Toolset:1. Locate the Toolset IP Manager database on your Toolset server. 2. Copy the Toolset IPAddress Manager db to an appropriate location on your Orion…

Ah ok, another workaround could be displaying the next x hours forecast as a custom html resource. So how come users can't see the symbols, do you have color blind users? Agree on UnDP and high on my list :)
-
Gotcha just open a support ticket and submit those MIB's and in the next compile in the next week or so they will be in there. So on a different topic, what other data are you interested in from VMWare? Have you checked out the virtualization product from our new product Profiler?
-
Have you checked out Message Center in NPM 10.1/APM 4.0.1. You can filter, sort and narrow down events.
-
Fair enough on the scale point. For critical ones you specify that it is a DHCP node to get around that when adding the device. So if you added it to a map, what would you expect to see besides the thin AP on the map and it's status?
-
Yes, soon
-
Not sure, if you enabled the UnDP, assigned it and enabled it to show on the website, might be best to either open a support ticket to look into or upgrade to 9.5 and see if it works for you there
-
We have a win32 utility we provide now called the unmanaged scheduler utility. If you have 10.0 you can download it from the customer portal in the additional components section. If you have 10.1 or above it should be on the Orion server under Advanced Features.
-
That is a pretty old version, the latest is 9.5. So you are not under active maintanance? Any chance of getting on maintanance and upgrading?
-
You can get from here
-
Best bet is to open a support ticket so this can be further investigated
-
Sorry you had an issue and lost your work. Can you submit a ticket in support so they can get the logs and see exactly what error you hit so we can address. Please reference this thread.
-
Why not use the latest version available as we made it a formal free tool and not an additional component as it used to be.
-
No, we do not currently support that setup. Any chance you can have the corp syslog server forward specific items to Orion?
-
When you see this, can you run diagnostics and either PM me via thwack and I can have Dev look at them or open a support ticket, your choice :)

Orion 9.5.1 Replace showProperties[keyBreakable] = (value != String.Empty) ? valueBreakable : " "; with if (value.StartsWith("<a href")) { showProperties[keyBreakable] = value; } else { showProperties[keyBreakable] = (value != String.Empty) ? valueBreakable : " "; } Orion 10 replace: showProperties[keyBreakable] =…
-
I have it logged, but in 9.5 we completely changed the web infrastructure over to ASP.NET
-
Can you expand on that item? Do you mean how often we poll wireless devices?
-
Can you try removing one and re-adding it, is that possible? If not, could you please open a support ticket so we can look into further.
-
Yes, it is something we have on our future plans list
