The important logs are in there, so you can get the names and do a search on the filesystem to get the exact path
-
I would say this number seems a bit high, but it also depends on a bunch of external factors as well. Where is the other device located vs. where you are? What is the connection and latency like between the two devices? Is it taking the full 60 seconds for the user to accept the connection?
-
None yet, we have logged this issue and are looking at it
-
Sorry, you can file an enhancement with VMWare, but I will be sure to log this as an enhancement into our system to look at for a future release
-
No date I can publish other than to say we are in beta right now.
-
Do you have this alerts we ship enabled? Alert me when a Thin Wireless Access Point goes down
-
So what are you seeing in the product? This behavior is what you should be seeing. If laptop is online the switch port is up and we are gathering stats around it. User shuts down and goes home and is now down, but we show the port as unplugged rather than down so we do not send alerts etc.
-
Gotcha, since you have a mixed setup of authentication you are right. If they could all be AD and use only Groups, then it would work better, but I understand that does not sound like it will work in your environment.
-
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps Andy recommends in the above post? The main thing is does this AP support the 802.11 MIB or not?
-
Yep, exactly that. If you don't have toolset installed on your machine, you can turn off the toolset integration in your user account in Orion.
-
Nothing I can commit to at this point in time
-
On the Syslog item, there is another thread about this here, we have the issue logged in the system to look into
-
I wouldn't say never, but it is not currently high on my priority list, just not enough customers demanding it
-
Does he/she need all this additional information in Orion? Just thinking of other ideas here. You can have them go to our Kiwi Syslog server for everything and then forward onto Orion only the stuff you and other engineers need and care about. The logs on the Kiwi server can then be rolled and archived off for compliance…
-
Can you expand on this. You can ignore them and we will never tell you about them again if you don't want to monitor them. You can do this in the scheduled discovery results page
-
OK SP3 is the latest, might want to go to that. Why did you not like Kiwi? Which version did you try? v9? The Orion web UI no longer works? Have you re-run the configuration wizard?
-
You can load SWQL Studio in our SDK and see if you can connect to the remote Orion server and run some basic queries.
-
Hard to tell but very well could be, if the box is overloaded, we might miss polls, so you might see gaps in data etc.
-
Yea, should be able to, sounds right
-
It's on the list, but nothing I can commit to time frame wise, if you want to see what is actively being worked on see here
-
Are you discovering and polling via vCenter or to each ESX host individually? Are you using the VMWare credentials or SNMP only?
-
Do you have a MIB Browser, like in our Toolset? 1.2.840.10036 is the OID for this MIB you can try it against it
-
With 10.1 we added a new page called Message Center which allows you to show Syslog, Traps, Alerts and Orion Events in a single page. You can filter out any of these if you don't want to see them and header sorting works there
-
We don't have that resource out of the box today, if you wanted it you could create a custom HTML resource or a report with just that info and display that report in the web console.
-
Support case is best route
-
Nothing I can commit to at this time
-
scriptboy, could you explain the scenario of why you would want to export via command line?
-
Something on our list, but nothing we can commit to at this point in time. The previous integration was community created, anyone up for the challenge of updating the old community contributed Twitter integration?
-
Obviously you could use a custom html resource for this now. We are also looking at a feature to allow users to add notes to alerts as well.
-
Look at the footer of the web console, it should say NPM 9.5 SP?
