Check this out here, we are working on additional native AD integration within Orion
-
For sure noted and will be resolved. Couple things to try, if you cancel out and do a re-add again, do you see the same error? Have you only seen this with IE? Can you try Firefox and see if you see the same issue?
-
You can upgrade to 10.0 we added a new alert action to allow you to do this in 10.0
-
Good feedback, thanks for posting. I have an enhancement in the system to allow users to both edit existing tabs as well as extend and add new ones
-
byrona is correct, you cannot extend the tabs today, just the items under the tabs
-
So to avoid confusion here. For Controllers/Thin AP's the statement from Support is correct, we only support Cisco and Aruba at this time. However, for thick/autonomous AP's they should work is they support the 802dot11 MIB.
-
Once you log into the customer portal it should be on the left hand nav under helpful links and is called Orion MIB Database
-
You will need to do some scripting in response to a trap. Orion can receive the trap and fire a script, but you are going to have to write the script. I would use net-snmp to do the Get.
-
Gotcha, yea that is mis-leading this should be resources, not reports. I will put in a bug to tweak the wording.
-
Understood, I have that already logged in the system as an enhancement request
-
You should be able to use the UnDP now, you can just enter the OID value into the UnDP.
-
lol ok, I would make sure you are on the latest code which is 9.5.1 and if you are open a support ticket
-
bobdawonderweasel is correct, EnergyWise is currently only supported on the 2k, 3k and 4k line of Cisco PoE devices.
-
I am not certain which level they come in on, but what is most likely going to be easiest is you can build an alert action filter on the message text itself.
-
You can also use variables within map labels as well and those will always be displayed on the map, see here for the variables supported
-
You should just need to configure the other EMS systems to forward their traps they receive onto the Orion system.
-
Thanks, we already have a defect logged on this item in the system.
-
Gotcha, yep this is a good idea and not something we do today. We gather this info in another one of our products, User Device Tracker based on AD, but have this on the list to add to DameWare in a future revision.
-
Please open a support case on this so we can investigate further
-
Did you lose the DB password or a user password into Orion? See here for another post on this
-
Which Syslog server do you have running active? Best bet to get it sorted out may be to open a support ticket
-
The web console access is not accessing those files on the Kiwi Syslog server. Let me explain further: * Kiwi Syslog win32 client on the Kiwi server is used for settings and long term storage and more advanced actions like email alerts etc. The Syslog messages can be stored to a file or a DB etc. * Kiwi Web Access is more…

Yep or if they are in the same subnet or have a naming strategy, you can search as well to filter them down and delete. Example 192.168.15.
-
Check this out here and see if this helps some?
-
Have you watched the tutorial videos which can be found here
-
See here for disable. I am not aware of how to remove IP.
-
Joe, something for sure seems out of whack, I would recommend a support ticket and diagnostics so we can look why those interfaces are going away.
-
We are starting that in the next version, however, to be up front we will not be all the way there yet. What you will be able to do is to enable/disable/delete Advanced Alerts, edit some very basic parameters and view the trigger and action details in the web. You will still have to RDP to Orion to create new or edit…
-
Correct, you will need to edit the advanced sql to get that to work or clone it.
-
Not sure what the deal is there, but probably best to open a support ticket to further diagnose
