We are actively looking at the best method to do this and addressing that
-
Thank you sir, this is good feedback, we are doing some more performance improvements as we go forward to be more efficient and increase performance within maps
-
From my understanding of the licensing, for device call if you had multiple pollers you would need one for each poller. However, I am not a MSFT rep so I recommend double checking that.
-
What don't you like about web node management? Is it just the load time is slow? If you go on the web console to Admin -> License Details you can see what you are looking for there
-
It will fix many things including what was in the hotfix. It should fix most of what people have been reporting to us. Just in case, if you don't already have a support case open on this issue, I would recommend opening one.
-
If it is easy for you to do and will not cause any problems for you, please try re-starting the services
-
Hmm interesting. Can you message me via thwack a screenshot and would it be possible to walk the 802dot11 MIB on that device? Also, what SP are you on? Did you apply SP4? We fixed some bugs on wireless licensing in there
-
We partially fixed this issue in SP3 and the rest should be fixed in SP4. Any newly added controllers the interfaces should not auto populate and with SP4 it should clear out the interfaces being used on existing controllers
-
Ah yea, that would do it. If you have a proxy to connect to the internet, you can set that in a config file and re-add that resource if you want, your call
-
The MIBS we used for 3.5 support are no longer populated in 4.0. So we are going to be changing our implementation to get at this data in an upcoming release, see this thead
-
What would you want to add them as? Should they take the location of the controller parent as the Thin AP's are ICMP only. What are your thoughts?
-
These requests all make complete sense. My plan is to move custom property editor to the web in time and enhance to handle use cases like allow users to set pick choices in a drop down, mark as required etc.
-
Currently, yes you do. Orion polls at a set polling interval, but if you want to watch a link or device in real time, you will need toolset and you can leverage the Orion/Toolset integration
-
Robert I will reach out to you offline to discuss.

So users with this permission cannot use the upper right hand corner "Customize Page" link. What this right gives them the access to do if click the edit button on each individual resource on a page, for example Average Response Time and Packet Loss and they can change the icon style and title of this resource etc. Does…

Well scan for new nodes is different than this in my eyes. This is more about nodes you already know about and changes to their underlying infrastrcuture. A hard drive is added or removed, someone adds or removes a line card. Do ya'll see them as different?
-
What you can do is add the new resource for multiple interfaces on a single chart. When adding that to a page you can edit it and select the interfaces on a single node or across multiple nodes you want to display on this chart and an option available within here is to sum these interfaces and display the sum or not. See…

By all means please post away, one thing we don't want you to shy away from is posting what you think and feel. If we do something right and good, tell us. If we do something wrong and bad, tell us. My mind can be changed if you provide valid and sound arguments, however, I may also disagree with you as well and do…

He is right, you can edit multiple items at once, you must not have read my blog post that closely :) You can use the drop down and search/group by to narrow them down and select all and hit edit, which you could not do in system manager.

Nothing I can commit to at this point in time unfortunantly
-
If you want to retain the original source address, I’d recommend you also use the “Spoof Network Packet” option (especially a good idea, if the receiving system is not Kiwi Syslog Server). They’ll need to install WinPcap 4.1+Here is more info: Spoof Network Packet This feature is only available in the licensed version,…

No worries, if you are still having problems, let me know and we can take this thread offline for further discussion
-
2017 is not supported yet, but we intend to add that hopefully with the next WHD update.
-
Try this as a temp workaround 1. Backup Inetpub/SolarWinds/Orion/NetPerfMon/Events.aspx 2. Edit the above file 3. Insert <orion:Reposter ID="Reposter1" runat="server" /> Below <asp:ScriptManager id="ScriptManager1" runat="server" /> at approximately line 15 of the file 4. Save the file 5. Refresh the page and observe that…

desagren, in which post is this in response to?
-
OK, have you opened a support ticket so we can gather additional info to debug?
-
Sure, I can discuss, if needed send me a private message. However, here is some basic info for the greater community and hopefully this helps you. Here is a link from Cisco that may help, see here So at the chassis level make sure you have EW enabled, below is an example configuration energywise domain…

Thanks for clarification. Best bet is to open support case to look into

We are working on getting a demo together online like we have for our other systems. In the meantime, you can get sales to have a personal SE demo for you or can view a recorded webinar here

List resources in add node will get much much faster in the next version. Also on network sonar, in the next version we are breaking the topology gathering out of discovery into it's own polling job, which is typically what causes larger discovery jobs to time out. So net net is next version this should get much better.
