That is by far the easiest and simplest. We also have users that log to a file that starts a new log daily and then a script or job that copies those log files off to a secondary server location as well, so you have some options.

Thanks for the feedback. #1 is an open enhancement request we have, I will add you to it #2 the resize is a known issue as well. Regarding adding additional columns, you can add custom fields at the category level and when you select the level above it all the children including the custom fields will show in the right…

Couple options.* You could use a Maintenance Schedule to disable them at a set time. * If you want to do it manually, he could use the SOAP interface. More here: http://support.ipmonitor.com/devdocs/ed8a241d1a1444feb767d4608d72c836.aspx

If exposed via SNMP, you could create a UnDP
-
You can create Universal Device Pollers or UnDP against them, you can see a tutorial here if you are not familar with the UnDP here
-
Yep, see here for more info

What version are you on? Might be worth bouncing the netperfmon service to see if the changes get picked up
-
Have you opened a support ticket to investigate? That would be the best route

Where an AP migrates from one controller to another, this is a known bug we are looking to address/fix. Regarding the controllers not being detected properly, can you open a support ticket on it so we can see what is going on?

So you want to modify the Nodes with Problem resource. On the page in which that is located if you click edit you can apply a filter to filter the nodes in the list. We provide some examples there you can use to filter. Please check that out and see if that takes care of you. If not, please post more details around what…

Can you expand on your need? We have a set of SNMP tools in toolset, have you looked at those? http://www.solarwinds.com/products/toolsets/diagnostic_tools.aspx

Can you put Operation Overview Subtitle in the main Title dialog? If the subtitle is blank it will tell you how they are grouped by in the sub-menu bar
-
We currently don't support wild carding in discovery, only workaround I can think of is take the first address in a wordpad and do a find-replace up to where you want to discover through and then paste them into the bulk upload section of discovery

There has been some terrific discussion on this thread already, sorry I am jumping in it a little late. The way I look at it, what SolarWinds provides is: * A great set of products that are easy to use * Structured in a manner where you can purchase the size that fits your needs at a good price (e.g. license tiers) * That…

We do have some training which is available, you can see more about that here - Success Center. Also, we do have partners available as well that can provide these types of services, one example here https://loop1.com/solarwinds-health-check/

Have you opened a support ticket to investigate?
-
Odd, not sure why it is not taking either, I compared to the KB we have here, but did not notice any difference. Can you open a support ticket on this, either online or phone please so we can look closer?
-
You sure can, instead of putting just a general logging statement, you can narrow it down to only send logs based on specific types of events. Here is a doc from Cisco on logging config changes that I found just doing a quick Google search, I am sure you can find the others.

Like the NPM Topology Resource?
-
So why aren't you using our Windows Events Forwarded utility? It can be found in your customer portal under additional components. Also if you own APM, see this regarding the next release here
-
What kind of Syslog volume are you talking about and the DB size will depend on how long you intend to keep Syslog message for
-
Currently you can only customize the tooltips on maps, we have an open enhancement to allow user to extend in the other areas in the product, but we don't have that in place today
-
Have you looked at Orion Network Configuration Manager(NCM) here
-
Can you expand on your question? Yes we added support for running on 2008 is 9.5 and 2008 R2 in 10.0.
-
See my blog post here on these features
-
We are looking at in a future release adding support for AD with groups
-
If this data is exposed via SNMP you should be able to create a UnDP and pull that info
-
This is not something you can update, we have to update this in code. I will add an item to our system to address in a future release
-
See here, we are working on it now
