Suggestion for HTML links on menu bar, etc. in NPM -- open in new tab

I would like to see an inclusion for the 3rd party and support sites to do an 'open in new tab' versus taking over the current window or the 'open in new window' checkbox option. With tabbed browsing support in all popular web browsers now, I hope it is included a future update.
