What are the specs of your Orion box, what other modules do you own and how many network elements are you polling? Typically this is due to overloading the poller you will see gaps in data.
-
Fewpoints regarding the question:* Orion SCOM MP should be installed on RMS with running OM health and SDK services * Installation should be run under account with permissions torestart health service * Regarding remote SQL – it not a problem – just makesure that OM SDK/actions accounts have enoughpermissions to write…

First part - yes you will have to create one for each site. We realize we need to make this easier/better going forward. We have an enhancement to make recommendations based on network topology, which would help. QQ though, why do you need 130 custom alert suppression rules?

Additional web server for APM, IPAM etc. are built into their respective installers
-
Call support first thing in the morning would be my best recommendation

What version are you on? I just tested this on 9.1 SP3 and it worked fine for me. I created a sub-folder within the Reports folder and copied some of the default reports to the new sub-folder and assigned that new sub-folder to a new user. Logging in as that new user, they only see those reports and only the devices that…

I will log this as an enhancement request
-
Yep, see here for more info

I checked with Dev and your read/write setup sounds adequate, though I don’t think we’ve formally tested it. You don’t specify what you intend read-only users to be able to do. If you just wants those users to be able to query the database, that’s fine. If you intend to run the website with a read-only account, that’s not…

I would recommend opening a support case and including diagnostics to troubleshoot
-
We will look at and if needed file a defect into our system on this.
-
I am not sure if there is a workaround, but that is a documented defect in 9.5
-
If I am visualizing what you are saying, then no.
-
Byron, thanks for the post, we have this logged into the system for consideration for a future rev. Original intention was for the web access to be a short term read-only mechanism and for longer term storage to use the native functions within the win32, however, we will continue to evaluate this as we hear more demand.
-
Good idea, but we don't have anything planned for the next release on this. You might want to look into creating some UnDP's against the SAN's you use, here are some one's I found on Thwack content exchange

If you do a list resources for that node, if you expand the plus sign next to that interface in question are the boxes underneath checked? We leverage the IF-MIB to gather this info, so if Cisco is not populating that data in this MIB, we won't get it.
-
Donald, I am sorry you had a bad experience. I will look into and investigate. In the meantime, shoot me an email if you are still having issue.
-
This is an open enhancement request, we have never done this before. What would you expect to happen to the SNMP data we had gathered before for the node and interfaces, would you just want to retain in the DB, but all the views in the UI switch to an ICMP only node set of resources?
-
How far over 100% does it report?
-
Do you have EW enabled only at the chassis level or also on some ports as well?
-
Have you looked at this?
-
We do have an Orion web services API/SDK for pulling data out of Orion, but you will have to use some tool if you want to chart etc. it in your tool. See here for more info on the API

Couple options depending on which makes the most sense. There should be a resource which lists all maps you can put on your home page that links to all the maps. If you don't want to show them all, you could create a custom HTML resource which only links to the maps you want to show.
-
Did you park the key before you removed from the other server? You may have to call into customer support and get your key reset. Also I am going to edit the post and remove the key, you don't want that posted here in the open.
-
What version are you running?
-
This is an issue we are aware of and are looking into
-
Can you either post or send me a screenshot of what you are seeing and exactly what you are expecting
-
Something off is going on with your system as I have not heard or seen this with other customers. I would recommend a support ticket to investigate further what is going on so we can work with resolve with you.
-
Regardless I would recommend going to SP2 to get the advantage of the fixes in there. Some of your issues may be resolved with SP2 and some other should be resolved with SP3. If you do not already have one open, I would recommend opening a support ticket so we can track and make sure we get your items resolved.

Are you up to date to SP4?
