After a quick review and comparing vs. the permissions available in the product, what you report above as configured seems correct. If you have not already, I recommend logging in with that user and walking through a few scenarios to ensure it is behaving as you would like and expect.

Since you are evaluating, are you working with a sales rep? If yes, could you send this to them so they can grab and SE and work through the issue with you. Hard to diagnose and troubleshoot over forum.
-
You can define and setup a hierarchical structure in IPAM today on Supernet, subnet and categories. Is it accurate that what you would like to see if the ability to do group by based on those other attributes? What kind of editing would you want to do with Visio?
-
I have not heard of this. How long has the upgrade been since you did it? Worst case open a support ticket
-
Re-running the configuration wizard might help you out here, but hard to tell and best bet might be a support ticket
-
If you edit the chart resource, there should be a checkbox to not show trend in charts
-
Not yet, this is what we were able to get into 10.1. We focused on the primary use case which was interfaces and added UnDP to cover other use cases till we get them naturally in the product. You would have to create a UnDP.
-
With 10.1 you can either have multiple interface charts or multiple UnDP charts. ex. these 5 interfaces across these 5 devices ex. these 10 interfaces on this single device ex. this UnDP assigned to these 7 devices You currently cannot take multiple UnDP's and assign them to one chart or put UnDP's on an interfaces chart.

We are currently working on making map loading times better in the next SP
-
Best bet is to open a support ticket. What SP level is the SQL Server at?
-
Could not agree more, this is something I have on my list for the future.
-
You can try this out, it might work for you, but this would be a global change. In the NetPerfMon.charts file in the Orion install dir, there are <color> fields that can be used to modify the colors.
-
it doesn't look like you can do this. I tried to create an html href with a link and it show as a link, but it appears from the time we pull it from the db and compile it onto the web, it gets munged up and doesn't work. If someone has a workaround please post, otherwise I will add as an enhancement request
-
So help me understand this better. It sounds like the root issue is to get to data without drilling down to the next page right? What key data that is not in the hover over/pop ups that you would like to see?
-
Good idea, I will add it to the list of things for consideration for future releases.
-
I am not sure if there is more to this question, but this is not a limitation or constraint of the product, but more the hard drive of the system it is installed on or how you have the product configured on where to put the files.
-
Have you tried with a different browser? I tried this myself and am not seeing the same behavior. Worst case scenario, please open a support ticket to look into and see if there is a bug.
-
Below is a script that will forward Kiwi Syslog Error log events back to localhost (via Syslog). The below script has the name of the ErrorLog file in it, so you may need to change that (currently C:\Program files\syslogd\Errorlog.txt).In Kiwi you will need to create a new rule -> Rule “forward Syslog errors to localhost”…
-
I have not seen or heard of this error from anyone else, as you already mentioned you were doing, Support is the best path to go to look into
-
Sorry for delay in response, I wanted to check with the Dev team. I am guessing you own NTA, is that correct? This does not appear to be an issue with NPM, but with NTA, so they have opened a defect to investigate. Please open a support ticket with diagnostics so we can have more info.

After the discovery completes it should in the results view in three different tabs show you the discovered nodes, interfaces and volumes and allow you to check which ones you wish to import. So you are seeing nothing under the interfaces and volumes tabs? What browser are you using?
-
Are you using mixed mode authentication or SQL Authentication? Do you have enabled Shared Memory, TCP/IP, and Named Pipes.
-
Go to Admin -> Manage Views -> select Network Summary Home select edit and then add to which column you want to put it back into and choose Network Map
-
Check this thread out and let me know if it helps -
-
Are you on 9.5? If yes, then you can use web node management in the web console, just go to Node Management in the Admin section and in the top drop down select interfaces and then choose the interfaces you wish to edit and click select. Within there you can change the polling settings
-
Give this a shot for me and let me know if it works or not for you. In Orion Web Console, go to Admin and manage Views, select Node Details and click add to add a resource to a column. Under Node Details Report, select the Tabular Universal Device Poller resource and click submit. Now go to a node in question this UnDP…
-
Which one do you not know and I can answer instead of answering the ones you already know :)
-
Specific to advanced alerts in 10.1 we added some basic management for advanced alerts only to the web console. You can enable/disable and edit basic settings, but still need to go to the server to create new ones or edit advanced settings in those alerts. Network Atlas can be run remotely.
-
What is happening? Did you build the report for Nodes with Event Type = Node Removed? Is it just not returning results?
-
I would re-run the configuration wizard again
