Not today, we only get node availability and status via ICMP. We have an enhancement in the system to add this same option for SNMP only.
-
Couple options to investigate. 1. Log Viewer, basically a Windows based tail, you can see more here and download the free version or evaluation of paid. 2. Within the Display settings in Syslog you can create what are called views that have specific filters, but you can only define up to 25 3. You can use the web console…

The machine where the agent is installed and the email is sent from, what is the date/time format there on the machine itself?
-
I am checking into this with Development now. Will respond back with findings.
-
Not sure what you are getting at here, can you expand please? So you have nodes being monitored right now no problem I assume. You apply a new MIB DB that has updated MIB's from that vendor. Did they change the MIB we use to stuff we poll out of the box right now?
-
wessemat, can you open a support ticket on this error you are seeing
-
What do you see if you walk the IF-MIB? If those interfaces are exposed via a different MIB, you can always use the UnDP as well.
-
I would honestly recommend checking out this product, it is a SaaS based product which you could use for any IT product. http://www.pagerduty.com/
-
I believe you should be able to do this in report writer using advanced SQL, maybe one of the SQL gurus here on thwack can help you out
-
Good feedback. I will append you to the enhancement request. So you would just like to see those two gauges on a single node details page correct?
-
It is not a matter of a number of devices, but more Syslog message volume. See here - http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/7/How+many+messages+can+Kiwi+Syslog+Daemon+handle%3FWhich means we can handle about 48 million message per day per Syslog server. They can load balance, see here -…

What version of the SCOM Mgmt Pack are you running? For R2 you need 1.1
-
I don't believe these is a way currently, I will open an enhancement request
-
Can you tell us more about your setup. How many elements per poller, how often are you polling, is it default settings, how many APM monitors do you have?
-
I would recommend a support case to further investigate and look at the logs, etc.
-
We have not formally tested, not certified Orion on IE9.
-
What are you monitoring in ipMonitor? Just asking as the only major concern I could see is port conflicts.
-
The Universal Device Poller I believe was added to NPM in 9.0, which is what you downloaded
-
Gob, as always you rock! I have already put this into our enhancement system to look to incorporate into a future version as I can see the value in this for folks.
-
Are you running 10.1.1 or just 10.1?
-
Makes complete sense. This is something we have on our list we would like to add in the future.
-
Also, I checked these two and they are defects, they have been logged as such ${InPps} ${OutPps}
-
You can also try ${SysName}
-
I have not seen or heard this from other, can you please open a support ticket to look into further
-
Did you unmanage the interfaces? Were are you going over on your limit? On the HP switch you don't have to add all the interfaces, just the ones exporting the flows.
-
Do you have it enabled in the settings? If you go to File -> Settings and then in this dialog under inputs, select SNMP and make sure that is enabled and configured.
-
I would use Server 2012 as that version we ran through a QA testing cycle. It could be that 2012 R2 works just fine, but I cannot guarantee it as it has not been fully tested against.
-
Correct, the Unplugged feature was added in 9.5. So couple different things you can try and do. In web node management change the show drop down to interfaces. You can then use the group by, columns filter or search to limit down the interfaces to the items you are concerned about and then select all and click edit and add…

Are you familiar with the server report, see here. Under the Configuration section you can schedule your reports for delivery.

Why you sure can, check out this thread
