What did you look at? Have you seen this?
-
Hard to tell what is going, first thing I would recommend doing is upgrading to a newer version since you are on 10.0 and latest shipping version is 10.1.2 SP1. If that is not an option, then please log a case into Support.
-
This is not a new defect, has been around for awhile. If you remove and re-add it, it should re-add just fine. Why not use MSFT SQL Management Studio, it is free and offers alot more features than our database manager tool.
-
If you truly want DR, then I agree you will want to check out Failover Engine, exactly what it is designed for.
-
Update 4 or do you mean ESX4 or vCenter4? If ESX4, the new version, this is a known issue. VMWare with ESX4 are no longer populating their MIB's which we use for pulling ESX data. There is a different thread here on thwack all about this topic if you are interested.

So what are your expectations of behavior? How is Orion managing the router and switches, as three separate nodes?
-
Good feedback, I will check that out to confirm that and file an necessary defects
-
Are you encountering specific issues? Do you have specific requirements you have not been able to accomplish? Can you provide additional details please.
-
Not currently, this is an open enhancement request, if you would like PDF you can export reports from report writer to PDF format then email
-
Have you opened a case with support?
-
Have you seen this blog post here
-
You can do this on maps only at this time, it will not show up throughout the web console. To do that edit the map resource on the web console and there is a link in there to add custom variables. You can find the supported variables here
-
For Orion you can use this new product we just release, see here for more info. Regarding SQL you have a couple options. You can use SQL Clustering or Log Shipping. With log shipping you will have a certain loss in data if a failover does occur. If you need something more advanced you can look at technologies like…

No, this is not currently a use case that can be supported with Mini Remote Control. With Remote Support, you can run against the command line, stop and start services, etc. without needing to connect to the desktop, so you may want to investigate that path.
-
Can you elaborate on your requirements? We have an Orion product called User Device Tracker which allows you to track port usage and see who is connected to which switch and which port, you can read more and see the online demo here.
-
If we don't monitor it out of the box, you can use the Universal Device Poller to point at an OID you are interested and monitor that way.
-
What are you wanting to do with it? Does the Overview page not give you what you need?
-
KEL, we are going to reach out to you offline to discuss this further.
-
Is this on the server Orion is running on or servers Orion is monitoring?
-
Can you provide more data. Is the Trap Service running? Has anything changed in your environment like a new ACL that would block traps to the Orion server?
-
I would recommend a support case on this one to investigate deeper. How many XP machines do you have left in your environment considering Microsoft has EOL XP?
-
So right now the only method to add data to this is via NCM 6.0 which has a new action to run a device script like a show command at alert and store the results in there. Going forward we plan to make that editable and allow users to enter hand typed notes in there.

Can you download the evaluation version and install, as that has no restrictions and is fully featured. If you look at page 36 of the documentation in the link below, the %hostname variable only works in the registered/evaluation version and not in the free version. http://www.kiwicattools.com/downloads/syslog/Syslogd.pdf
-
If we are not pulling CPU/Memory, then most likely they are using non-standard MIB to expose it. You can create a UnDP to pull this info and display on the dashboard. If you get the MIB's that show this info, post here and I will open an item to add this to the product.
-
And to be clear, the Aruba and Cisco only support is for Controllers/Thin AP's. The older Autonomous AP's should work as long as they support the 801.11 MIB
-
Depending on demand from ya'll the community, we are always looking to enhance our offerings. This would be a first for Meru, but I have heard Trapeze once or twice now from others
-
Those sound right as long as no other app they have uses SQL CE edition. Also add Kiwi Syslog Server as well if they want to remove everything. If only the web portion, then what you have above should be good.
-
Couple options: #1 create a new account with a node limitation to only view those nodes in question #2 create a new page that filter based on node ID
-
You can turn it off, but it turns off globally for all users. You have to edit a file on the server, if you want to do this let me know, there is a post here on thwack I can point you to with directions
