Good feedback and this is in line with some of our thoughts as well. We are planning going forward to add more depth to Orion in specific technology areas and this is a good example of one.

So for this question: The only MAC's that show up are those of SNMP devices. Can any one tell me why IP's for computers do not show the MAC's? Do those PC's/Server have SNMP enabled and configured? Via scan we get the MAC Addr via SNMP. With the release of IPAM 1.5, we added MSFT DHCP Server integration, which also allows…

Please open a ticket so we can see what is going on. Also here are some advanced SQL alerts you can use to notify you if this occurs again here, here and here

I beleive you can do what you want to do today. First create the child maps and how you want them for Central, South, North etc. Once you have create those child maps and are happy with them, create a new map, which will be the parent and drag those child maps from the left hand navigation pane onto the new parent map. Let…

Jeff is correct, if you want to view the config in Orion you would need NCM
-
I would recommend opening a support ticket to look into further

Have you setup you rules as an action to log to the Orion Web Console?
-
No, this is correct. Check out this post for more background. If the fixes are specific to just NPM then we will do an SP. If they are wider and applicable to multiple products that leverage the Orion Core platform, then most likely we will do a service release.
-
What does the SNMP rule looks like you have defined and what is a sample of the SNMP message?
-
Mavila, I am going to have one of our Latin American sales folks reach out to you to see how they can assist.

So here is one idea you could do with 1.0 * You can create three subnets and rename them as applicable. * Category Corporate Office* Subnet - Static Systems - first 100 IP's * Subnet - Dynamic Systems - next 200 IP's * Subnet - Rest - last 210 IP's IPAM will then scan all the subnets just like it would a single subnet and…

Casa, this is currently not possible today with the web client, we have an enhancement request to add this into the system.
-
Shane, You might want to check out a new product we recently acquired to handle storage use cases just like this, see here for more info
-
Sihem, I will sent you a note offline

Just add those nodes and interfaces into Orion to get a view of the traffic percentage. If you want deeper views into what the traffic is you should check out our Netflow module. Also you can look at IPSLA Manager to give you deeper statistics into latency.

Sorry folks there is some confusion here on our part, my fault. SP1 includes HF2, so no need to re-apply. If you cared about HF1, which is not something which is globally applicable to everyone, then you will need to re-apply that after upgrading to SP1. Sorry for the confusion.

Joseph, I investigated this and in 10.0 we did address the UTC or +5 hour issue. However, we still do have an issue where "Filter Results" are defined in the report causing issues. Do you have this set in your report? Is this something you can remove?

Has anything changed on that box, new AV or firewall software installed? I have seen where on install before some items get blocked. Worst case, please open up a support ticket.

This is a pretty broad request. It sounds like what you are wanting is something like Netflow to Syslog or a Netflow collector that can alert on specific events and send the event as Syslog. Also when I say Netflow, I am including other similar protocols like sFlow and jFlow in that umbrella term. SolarWinds does have a…

Currently to update the topology data, this is tied with Network Sonar discovery. In the next version, which is currently in beta, we are breaking that off from Network Sonar into is's own background polling job to gather L3 and L2 topology data, so it is no longer dependent on Network Sonar, however, that is the way it…

When you run the installer we ask if you want us to install the web component and that should setup everything you need. Sounds like this is not happening correct? Can you give more info on your platform, what OS are you installing on?
-
If you have not solved this, I recommend opening a support ticket
-
Cool, got it and logged it into the system
-
Check this post I just did out and let me know if this helps you out
-
Have you created or imported from thwack a Universal Device Poller to pull the temperature info from the devices?
-
You can have them log to a file or Windows events viewer then have Splunk pick them up
-
Best bet is to open a support ticket on this one
-
Best bet is to open a support ticket with our team to look into
-
I am not aware of any change on the code side, but could be mistaken. Would you please go ahead and log a support ticket so we can look into this please?

If you do an nslookup from the command line, what is the IP being returned? The new or the old?
