I am sorry you have not had a positive experience since the upgrade to 9.5, we have tons of customers running 9.5 happily and enjoying the new functionality. Let's see if we can get you there as well. #1 - can you open a support ticket to investigate, also please read this thread here #2 - this is not normal at all, once…

Since UDP is an unreliable delivery protocol, could you configure the ACS server to send Syslog leveraging TCP?
-
No sir it is on our list to look to add in the next version
-
No, the mail server can be anywhere. What IP or FQDN did you put in for the mail server? It is saying that it cannot find or reach an SMTP service on that machine.
-
This is going to vary on many different factors. Bandwidth for both you and the end user requesting the application, performance of the machine the site/application is sitting on and is it self-contained or is it distributed, does it call out to third party component outside of your control such as a showing a Twitter feed…

So after applying SP4 this behavior started? Anything weird with the putting SP4 on? Have you attempted re-running the config wizard? If still going on, might be best to open a ticket to investigate
-
Can you use SNMP with any other tool like mib browser from that server? The community string could be correct, but SNMP is blocked to the device.
-
What do your rules and filters look like on the 9.2 server? Do you have any ACL's or Firewall rules setup which might restrict traffic?
-
I don't beleive this is possible, the pollers would also need to be on 9.1 as well
-
Are you getting any errors or just hanging? Do you have another box to try?
-
No, that is currently not possible today. Any setting you set will apply to all for web launch, only workaround I could think of is potentially to use toolset right click integration, do you have toolset?
-
So is the right click working at all or not?
-
I will reach out to you offline on this
-
This is an open outstanding feature enhancement we have in the system
-
How much after 60 seconds?
-
Your best bet is going to be to open a support ticket
-
It sounds like you have tried it and it is not working? If yes, what error are you getting?
-
So this answer depends on multiple questions. How many nodes, interfaces and volumes are you monitoring at those remote locations? Are they sending Syslog and SNMP traps back to Orion? How often do you want to poll them? Do you want to poll any custom SNMP information other than what we collect out of the box?
-
Yes and No :) So you can setup ranges we scan so you can exclude your DHCP ranges You cannot do the latter. What you can do is when the scheduled discoveries run, if there are items you don't care about and don't want us to ever tell you about them again, you can add them to an ignore list.
-
We have a state in IPAM called Transient. An IP Address becomes Transient if it was responding to scans and it is no longer responding, we flag the address as Transient. After a set period of days, if that IP does not continue to respond to scans, we now mark it as available. By default this is set to 7 days, but this can…

I spoke with Dev, try this out. Put this into a .bat file called StopNetPerfMon.bat and it just calls to stop services (not all Orion service are included but the main idea is clear): StopNetPerfMon.bat “c:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\StopNetPerfMon.exe”The batch file also depicts syntax of command line usage of…

What browser version are you using?
-
I recommend opening a support ticket so we can investigate further.
-
Do you have an unreliable connection to the Orion server or is the DB losing connectivity?
-
We have an IP SLA free tool which allows you to monitor device to device performance. You can export these as Universal Device Pollers, which you can import and use within Orion NPM. Check this out and let me know if this addesses your need or not. If not, if you could provide some further data exactly what you are trying…
-
You can install it if you want, but it will not have anything for NPM if you don't have IPAM 1.5. We had to make some tweaks in NPM to support alerting in IPAM 1.5. SP contain all the fixes of previous service packs. So if you were on SP4 and if we do for example an SP6, the SP5 fixes would be included in there.
-
Understood and have filed this in our system.
-
Unfortunantly this is not a setup or configuration Orion supports today
-
You explanation of how it works is accurate
-
Orion NPM does not support MySql currently.
