There might be people out there running in this configuration, but just to be clear, we did not add support for 2008 till 9.5, so on 9.1 that would be unsupported configuration.
-
Byrona, this is good feedback and is in line with some of our internal thoughts as well.
-
What is the error message?
-
If this is a constant problem, I would recommend opening a support case and include diagnostics
-
Good feedback. What I have seen users do now in 10.1 is create AD Groups for each of the roles you want defined in Orion (i.e. Admin, View Only, etc.) and add that AD Group to Orion and use our existing permission and account limitations. Have you tried that?
-
This is something we are keeping an eye on to gauge customer demand. To be frank and honest, we are seeing more requests for MSFT HyperV support than Citrix, so based on that we are looking to add that next sometime in the future. You can use UnDP's to pull alot of this data via SNMP right now I believe.
-
If from the Orion server you open a browser and try to hit the ESX web console view, can you get to it?
-
Thanks for the feedback, some of your items we have heard from other users as well. #1 - we probably need to make this a global setting to allow or not allow. Some users like this, some don't #2 - Good catch I will log this #3 - Good feedback #4 - We have heard this from others as well, this is already logged in the system…

No secret checkbox, what version and SP level of 9.5 are you running? We do have a check for IOS version which depending on which SP you have could be the reason you do not see them in NPM.
-
Do these show up as normal interfaces or sub-interfaces or just multiple IP's assigned to a single interface?
-
Look at the bottom of this page - http://www.kiwisyslog.com/products/ Free product we provide called Kiwi SyslogGen, which allows you to install on a machine and send test messages to a syslog server. On the phone I believe you would need to put the IP of the machine that is running the Syslog server.

Please open a ticket on this one
-
Have you seen this thread?
-
darkshooter, PM me via thwack and I can email you a screenshot of my default out of the box view settings
-
Yes custom properties can be displayed, so here are the OOTB ones. So what is the exact name of the custom field, is do you have the case right?
-
What SP are you on? You are using the syslog viewer, not the web UI?
-
Here you go - www.solarwinds.com/.../OrionNetworkAtlasAdminGuide.pdf

It should work since it is just SWIS (our internal language) queries. SWIS shouldn’t care how many endpoints are talking to it. I would be curious if you had firewall issues or what is blocking the SWIS communication.

Check out this little nugget
-
We get the list of thin ap's from the controller itself. I have not heard of any other user reporting this behavior, but might be best to open a ticket to investigate.
-
bwilliams13 I recommend opening a support ticket to further look into and diagnose what is going on
-
So you have a web cluster right? Are you setting the load balancer to associate the source IP address with the same server every time?
-
Are you currently evaluating the software or a customer? If a customer I think the best path to resolution is going to be opening a support ticket so we can dig into deeper. If evaluation, let me know and we can work together offline.
-
No, this is currently not possible. If you wanted to just have a real time map with no nodes overlayed on it like in the demo you can use the steps I posted in the other post. This is an enhancement we have in the system for Network Atlas
-
Can we do same thing as "ConnectNow" function of netowrk atlas from portal ? Not today, this can only be executed from within Network Atlas Or, can we configure to make netowork atlas to do automatic update topology at constant interval ? Not currently today, this is something we are looking at for a future release.
-
What errors/issues are you seeing and what is being show in event viewer?
-
Can you be a little more specific please? What information could you used to access that you cannot now?
-
Yes, version 10.0 does make significant performance fixes for both running, loading and using network atlas.
-
What version are you on? This at face value does sound odd, your best bet to investigate may be a support ticket.
