I have not heard anyone else report this, but if you have a case open with support and it is a bug, they will get a defect filed into the system
-
Not today, this is something we are looking at for the future. Might also want to check this out
-
I checked with Dev and you should be able to do this with an Advanced SQL report. Data of connection start/end are saved in [FirstUpdate]/[LastUpdate] columns of our db tables.
-
Can you expand more on what you mean and are looking for? I have seen many customers take Visio network diagrams and use those as background for maps or create geographical maps and sub-maps as well.
-
Can you send me or post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
-
Jeff, This is true, Orion does not support MySql as a database back end, only Microsoft SQL.
-
Might want to try going to SP5 and see if the behavior continues
-
So I will try to answer all of these for ya. Currently GA version of Orion NPM 9.5.1 (NPM 10 is currently in RC state) Orion EOC current GA version is 1.2 You can read our EOL policy here Another good resource is release notes, which can be found online, example for NPM here

We are finalizing the production on the video (clean up etc.) and they will be posted here - http://www.solarwinds.com/geek/webcasts.aspx
-
Nick, do you own Engineers Toolset? If so, you can edit the menu file on the backend to add items to launch via right click
-
There is no method to remove the export to pdf from the pages.
-
What resource are you looking at? I just added in 10.0 an external node to google.com and added the down nodes resource and it does not show in there.
-
This feature does not exist today. This is something we are considering for a future release, but to do this right we need to allow customers to define rules and criteria on which to automatically add or ignore so we don't end up blowing out folks licensing. So as you stated above, we have scheduled discovery and we will…
-
You will need to either create an Advanced SQL report or you can look on the context exchange to see if one up there you can use and tweak or works for you, for example here
-
There is nothing native within Orion that you could use. If you own the toolset, you could use that or if you have multiple Orion servers, you can have them monitor each other.
-
This data should be in the DB just would need to create an advanced sql report
-
You might want to try and do a MIB walk and see if it responds. Also you can open a support ticket, but here are the OID's we poll OID = MACAddress1.2.840.10036.1.1.1.1 OID = SSID1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.272.1.1.1.6.1.2;1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.6.4.1.1.9.2.1.2 OID = Clients1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.273.1.1.2.1.1 OID =…

In the Account limitation, you will need to give that user access to the third node where you only want them viewing the single interface, so it would look something like this. Group of nodes limitation: -Node A (full access) -Node B (full access) -Node C (single interface) Group Interface limitation: - Give access to all…

This only works with 10.0, are you running 10.0?
-
Can you expand further. As you know we use SQL Server to store data. If you go to web node management under NPM settings I believe you can control how long we retain syslog and trap data and when we summarize and roll up data. We also have a DB maintenance that by default runs at 2am, which you can tune as well.
-
Engineers Toolset, yes completely support. NPM and NCM we support on XP in evaluation, but we don't technically support them in production installs. Is the DB on another server?
-
Are you seeing a specific issue or thinking of upgrading to 2008? We have been working with the community to identify and address this issue and have some items we are validating/testing. So I would not say completely corrected yet, but we are actively working this to get it resolved.

Are you running Firefox or IE? You should be able to register an app handler for it based on the browser. Instructions for IE: msdn.microsoft.com/.../aa767914(VS.85).aspx Instructions for Firefox: kb.mozillazine.org/Register_protocol

From when? 9.1 or earlier 9.5?
-
If you have the custom fields themselves already defined, you can populate the values of them via the web console with Manage Nodes. If you go Admin -> Manage Nodes, you can select one or more devices and select Edit Properties or if you want to populate properties on Interfaces, you can select Interfaces in the drop down…

Chris, yep this is a known bug. Works fine in FF as you stated, but the enter key is not captured correctly in IE. We have a defect logged into the system for us to fix in a future release.
-
Any chance you can post a screenshot to explain further the change you are seeing?
-
Please open a support ticket and reference this thread
-
If you do an nslookup from the command line on the Orion server, what do you get?
-
For Advanced Alert Manager, no. Our intent is to move this to the web in a future release. With NPM 10.1 you can edit and delete some basic info on advanced alerts though, see here.
